I found my treatment at the clinic to be first class the nurses were lovely and very helpful. I could find no faults at all with the care they provided.

I had lens replacement surgery with Associate Professor of ophthalmology Dr Derda Oder at BHT clinic in Istanbul. From the initial contact with him to the end he was very down to earth, transparent, friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate. I had researched and contacted many surgeons. He suggested lenses that would be suitable for each eye and on examining me when I got there, decided one eye needed a different lens which was £150 less. He immediately informed me. He is an excellent surgeon and Hasan, his lovely, capable interpreter was there for me at all times. All the staff are very professional and attentive. The surgery went well and the aftercare was very good. On my last visit, Dr Derda said to contact them at any time if I have any questions or concerns, gave me lifetime lens passports and told me any time I was in Turkey I was to come and have a free assessment. Dr Derda is also very well priced and I’m absolutely thrilled to throw away glasses that I’ve been wearing for many decades. I highly recommend Dr Derda and his team. I attended this lovely clinic 6 days ago for UltraClear Superficial. Numbing cream was applied roughly 30 minutes before the procedure, it may have been longer but I was feeling very relaxed, laid on a massaging bed listening to music of my choice. Photo’s were taken and the treatment began. I’m not going to lie, the treatment was uncomfortable around my ears and the sides of my mouth but was soon forgotten because it was over so quickly. I was very red afterwards and you could see imprints on my neck from the machine, I did bleed a little but no pain. The clinic advised to take paracetamol if needed but it wasn’t necessary. You’re given a care package to take home to clean and moisturise the area and this does work, a little smelly but it does the job brilliantly. The following morning was a shock, my pillow case was a little bloody and my face even redder but no pain. Six days on and my face is already glowing, it’s amazing how quickly you recover. Don’t hesitate in having this treatment, you need to plan the downtime, if you don’t want anyone to know, I would allow a week to be on the safe side. The clinic itself is lovely, very clean, the staff are friendly and the practitioners are very professional. You are made to feel special. I understand why they win so many awards. Just go and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. The photos are on day 1 and 6. Still a little red around the neck on day 6 but could easily be hidden if necessary.

I came from Finland for surgery with the doctor. As the surgery would be 1/5 of the price of what I would have to pay in in my own home country. I visited the doctor and he examined me and took the time to do all the proper tests to see if I needed the surgery or not. Turns out I had been misdiagnosed and there was no need for the surgery after all!! Though I did not need surgery, I can 100% recommend the doctor since he could have very easily said oh yeah sure let's do it, and just take my money! Overall the doctor was very professional and I could see that he had a lot of expertise and accumulated knowledge and it felt I could trust him. More than that the doctor’s assistant is amazing, speaks very good English, and provided clear and informed communication along the process. Very thankful for their efforts.

It was a great pleasure to meet Dr Ebru. She is a not only a wonderful ophthalmologist but also a compassionate and happy soul. She took great care and very professionally performed cataract surgery on my both eyes. She is very dedicated to her work and patients and answered every concern in detail before surgery. After surgery, she examined my eyes couple of times and was always available to answer any questions. She was genuinely interested in my health and well-being.
