I found Dr.Volkan Karabey not only a wonderful dentist but also a competent one. Unlike other dentists, he put service first for his patients. He cared for my opinions and was willing to listen. He also provides genuine advice according to my dental situation.

After much searching around, I couldn't find a NHS dentist where I live in the UK, I was told by a friend that it might be better to have dental treatment in Istanbul, because they can provide good treatment at an affordable price. Now that my husband and I have had our treatments with Dr. Volkan Karabey , we can vouch that he is excellent at what he is doing, giving genuine dental service for people. My husband had his front crown replaced and I had my filling Emax-onlay done. Both treatments were completed within 4 days. We both were very satisfied with the results, especially my husband, as he felt that Dr. Volkan was honest and very keen on helping people to resolve their dental problems. We are both very grateful finding a dentist like him, very grateful indeed. We certainly will go back to him if any dental issues arise.

I always had issues with my teeth. My idea was quite extreme, total extraction and doing All-on-4. I did my own research, picked ten different clinics in Istanbul. In the end only few clinics left, with very close price range and treatment plan.

I went with Ihlamur Dent, because it was the only clinic I spoke directly to the person who is planning to do all treatment. All conversations and treatment planning was directly through Dr. Volkan Karabey.

He is very professional and always patient. After long discussion he recommended to try to save my own teeth and not going extreme with total extraction. And I’m very thankful to him for that.

I got to visit Istanbul twice. For around a week each time. The clinic is very clean and cozy in the center of the city. First visit - the treatment plan in all details and 3 implants. After 5 months, when the implants set in and healed, I had a second visit, during which he shaved teeth and put all 28 zirconia crowns.

Everything went smoothly. The journey is over. I’m so happy with the result and I would strongly recommend treatment at Ihlamur Dent.

From the moment I spoke to Dr Volkan Karabey from Ihlamur Dental Clinic he made me feel very at ease. I have been known to be a very nervous patient when it comes to the dentist but Dr Karabey was extremely patient with me and answered every question I had very clearly.

Even down to exactly what equipment and implants he was using. When I arrived in Istanbul at the clinic I was greeted by a very lovely receptionist and then taken into the treatment room where I met Dr Karabey and was made to feel very calm and relaxed as he told me what he was about to do. I experienced absolutely zero pain during the surgery and barely any pain or even swelling afterwards. I was prescribed with some antibiotics and mouthwash and given aftercare instructions. Then a couple days later I popped back to the clinic for a quick check up to see how things were healing and it was going perfectly. I have already recommended people to Dr Karabey and Ihlamur Dent.

I am only halfway through my journey, I’m now back home waiting for my implants to set in and heal. Then it’s back there again in 4 months to get the crowns put on….. and I cannot wait!!!

I went to Turkey to get my implants done with Dr. Volkan, and I was surprised because it was a very quick procedure—only about 25 minutes for two implants. After the procedure was done, I was surprised again as there was hardly any pain. I started eating food just two hours later, which I wasn’t expecting, to be honest.

I would strongly recommend treatment with Dr Volkan at Ihlamur Dent, and I am going back again in February to have my crowns done.

After being in contact with more than 20 dental clinics and receiving many quotes, I decided to have my dental treatment at the Ilhamur Dent Clinic for the simple reason that Dr. Volkan gave me a lot of confidence with his clear and precise explanations. I needed some implants and extractions!

I contacted the clinic and had Doctor Volkan directly on the phone, I texted him all my needs and received answers to all my questions (I had so many to ask btw), he was very attentive and didn’t force or push me to do any extra treatment ( which is very different from other clinics I contacted, no direct contact with doctors only consultants), once in the clinic everything has been made easily and professionally, I recommend doctor Volkan because he is a good technician and very understanding!

I might post an update in few months after the second visit, where everything will be fixed but for now allgood 👍🏻

I have been going to Dr Vulcan since November 2022. He has crowned a few my teeth, a deep cleaning, root canal and put implants in my missing teeth and provided excellent advice. He is highly qualified and I have had no issues whatsoever with all the work he has done

I had been researching dental clinics in Turkey for a while and Ihlamur Dent drew my attention straight away because when I wrote to the clinic, I received a detailed and professional reply directly from Dr Volkan KARABEY.

I sent the 3D scan and an Xray and I received an overview about my teeth and treatment options. I asked Dr KARABEY lots of questions about the treatment, medical protocols, and procedures, about aftercare, risks and complications and Dr KARABEY clarified professionally all my questions by email. As a result, it was established that I needed to get an implant inserted and sin lifting and zirconia crowns at a later stage. Dr KARABEY emailed the full treatment plan to me and we agreed that the plan might be adjusted as per 3D scan result at the clinic.

Very soon I travelled to Istanbul and I was taken to the hotel by an VIP vehicle, arranged by the clinic. At the clinic a detailed consultation and discussion about outcomes took place. All procedures were done at the highest standards: the 3D scan result was discussed with me and it assisted me in making a decision. I must emphasise that the clinic has an in-house 3d Scan and that is very handy and efficient. Guided surgery followed: the implant was inserted and sin lifting done and I did not feel any pain due to Dr’s easy hand! Full post-operative instructions were provided and I had to take medication as per Dr’s advice. The clinic arranged the VIP vehicle back to the airport which made me to feel very comfortable.

My experience with Ihlamur Dent has been fantastic: treatment has been outstanding as per the treatment plan; all the information and rates are transparent and there are no hidden costs; staff at the clinic is very friendly and accommodating and I cannot wait to travel back to get my zirconia crowns done in 5 months’ time.

The result is amazing and I am very happy with the clinic. I thoroughly recommend Dr Volkan KARABEY and his team without hesitation!!!

Dr Volkan was very clear and quick to answer all my questions before the trip. The procedure was very professional in modern and clean environments. I had 10 crowns and two implants with no pain during or after the procedure at all. He even helped med avoid unnecessary parts of the first plan we made which saved me money.

After the procedures, I had no pain or swelling at all. He was very kind to explain any questions I had during the visits and made me temporary teeth even for one day of use. All In all very professional and I would trust my teeth to him anytime in the future and recommend the clinic to all my friends and family members in the future.

Out of 5 stars I would give him 6. This has been my most severe dentist jobs to be done in few days , and the less painful ever at the same time. My utmost respect and gratitude for his work and treatment.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I wanted to do all on 4 in the upper and lower jaw because I had very bad teeth. Did a lot of research about many clinics in different counties but I came back to Dr. Volkan because of the overall and recent reviews I read about his clinic. Dr. Volkan was very helpful, easy to communicate with, speaks very good English, he keeps himself updated with education for the latest techniques, takes his time to answer via WhatsApp and e-mail and explains everything very well!

The clinic is not too big, very clean and neat, working staff are friendly and nice.

I spoke to him many times before I made the final decision to go to his clinic since there are so many clinics in Turkey and Istanbul that it is hard for someone to decide where to go. He made me feel very comfortable from the beginning so not hard for me to make a final decision!
I had/wanted to get my upper and lower jaw teeth extracted for what I wanted, all on 4 in both jaws.
I chose the Astra dental implants because they are a well-known European A brand implants so good quality, also received the original Astra certificates/numbers.

I don't like my own teeth on the lower jaw because they are discoloured and ugly which would not match of course with my new all on 4 teeth in the upper jaw when it is finished.

Dr. Volkan professionally advised me not to extract my lower jaw teeth since they were still good, stable and not necessary to extract. So in the end I am very happy that I listened to his professional advice so I will keep my own teeth which would be much better in the end according to his advise, most dentists advise this anyway.
Now he will be able to place new Zirconium crowns on my own teeth in the lower jaw so everything will match and look all the same and new when all the work is done in the end.

During the treatment I did not feel any pain, treatment went very well, smooth and good according the end result.

No infections, I had some after pain which is/was normal and durable, swelling which lasted for a few days, all this is normal of course after such a treatment/operation.

Aftercare was very good, he invited me a few times to come over to the clinic to check up on everything to see that the healing went ok.
The temporary dental fake teeth were measured and prepared during the week I stayed in Istanbul. The fake dental teeth were very nice and good, fitted very well so all that was in order as well.

Also the pick-up/ drop off service at the airport and hotel was organised very well and everything on time so also no worries about that!
In the end, I am very happy already so far for/with the work that has been done, I paid a good, fair and reasonable price.

He was also very understanding in helping people in a good manner to make a good deal for me since he knows all to well that not everybody can afford such high prices that we normally pay in our own countries where dental care is very expensive, at least here in Holland it is !

The same dental work would have cost me something like 12.000.- to 15.000.- Euro in Holland for Astra implants and Zirconium teeth since this is the better and best quality so very expensive.

He is not only after the money like most bigger clinics do but wants to deliver good and nice work for the customer for a fair price I reckon and that has to be said here in my review as well I think!

I CAN ONLY AND HIGLHY RECCOMEND Dr. VOLKAN TO ANYBODY WHO NEEDS A GOOD DENTIST IN ISTANBUL !!

I have to go back in a couple of months in September after healing and when the implants have grown into the bone to get all the final work done and then I have a new smile again 😊
