My point of contact was (and still is) Sia, and I can sincerely say he provided all the information I needed to make an informed decision about choosing this clinic. There was absolutely no pressure, and every question I asked was answered thoroughly. Based on this, I chose to go ahead with them. Upon landing, I was taken straight to the hospital for tests—even though it was a Sunday. Although Sia wasn’t scheduled to work that day, he made a special trip to the hospital to meet me and guide me through the process. The next morning, I was promptly picked up and taken to the hospital for check-in. I met with a member of the clinic team as well as the surgeon, and the surgery was then carried out. I stayed in the hospital for two days to recover. While the nurses didn’t speak fluent English, they made every effort to communicate and ensure I was comfortable. I was also visited and checked on by the clinic team during my stay. The hospital itself was clean and well-maintained. Though I’d recommend bringing your own snacks! Before being discharged, the surgeon personally checked that I was ready to be released. I was then taken back to a hotel, which was clean, comfortable, and a great place to recover. Later in the week, I met with the rest of the team— including Dr. Gorkem Atsal—at the clinic’s main office. Before my departure, I had a final check-up with the surgeon and was given the all-clear, along with some medication to take home. Now, nearly two weeks post-op, I have no regrets. I researched several companies before choosing Dr. Gorkem Atsal’s clinic, and this one stood out for both customer care and affordability. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering cosmetic surgery. If you do, I’d definitely suggest getting in touch with Sia—though the whole team was fantastic.

I am still in my garment after a tummy tuck and liposuction with Dr. Yousuf. I am still emotional about my experience with May Clinic. I have chosen them out of 15 groups and extremely happy. Extremely expensive but is was worth it EVERY cent of it. Unbelievably organised, clean, responsible, responsive, clean, English speaking staff, perfect hospital and the hotel, on the point drivers, having specialised groups and nurses for each part of the journey made this absolutely difficult procedure easier to take. I had very good pain killers so I did not experience pain at all which was my nightmare before going to Turkey. Unbelievably there are 5 nurses in the hotel every day and they visit you 3 times( morning to say hello, evening to say goodbye and a long visit to do the every day massages and wound dressings. They are so calm, patient, positive and helpful that it makes you less mentally challenged during the hotel stay. Dr Yusuf is the loveliest and the best plastic surgeon specially in tummy tuck and liposuction doctor I managed to find in Turkey and Australia with a HUGE bunch of perfect experiences. Everything is so organised and timely that you absolutely do not need to worry about the next steps; just rest, walk, eat and drink well and relax; the May Clinic is there for you. They even keep checking on you with their special after care nurse team. I want to thank specifically nurse Elif for being overly responsible for the massage she did for me on the day that it actually was not her responsibility but crucial for my overwhelmed situation on the day I removed my two drains. My very very special thanks goes to the little but impressively strong handed nurse SELDA. She was smiling, positive, happy and genuinely smiling all the time at all mental and physical situations. I am writing a review so that others may benefit from learning further about my septo-rhinoplasty experience organised and orchestrated by Dr Andaç Aykan and his team. I am from the UK originally but lived in Turkey for nine years previously. I was fully aware of the scale of the health tourism sector, but did not know where to start looking when considering surgery options in Istanbul. Having exhausted UK package possibilities (I did not feel comfortable knowing that some surgeons are performing multiple surgeries in a day, the incessant ‘special offers,’ and the mixed results.) By word of mouth and recommendation I heard of Dr. Aykan, having had several previous in-person consultations. In my case I was not looking for a drastic change in my appearance and my main aim was to find a surgeon able to proceed without artistic license! Keeping in mind, I am a person who does not like change and whom struggles even with hairstyle differences. The combined recommendation, reviews, clinic, technology, Doctor and team made my decision very easy. Where other Doctors had sketched or tried to explain expected changes to my nose incoherently, Dr Aykan used 3D vectra imaging to portray an expected result, using the angles of my face to develop a nose with the best fit for my face and other features. Furthermore, after assessing my nose internally (whilst showing me onscreen) he provided a ready printed document and was able to illustrate how my septum deviated and necessary structural changes to allow me to breathe more freely. Dr Aykan speaks perfect English and was able to articulate and address all of my concerns - of which I had a list of questions to resolve. I had not anticipated my peak in anxiety the day before and day of the surgery and I felt that this was completely understood and acknowledged. I felt that Dr Aykan offset my anxiety and nerves through his calm, steadfast and intellectual demeanour. Overall I can say instinctively that I felt that Dr. Aykan would not do me a disservice and I felt throughout the process that I was able to trust fully in the Doctor to achieve the result I had requested. When I had any doubts in the months before the surgery, I always returned to the position that, ‘this is the surgeon who can execute the optimal result.’ On the day of the surgery, everything went smoothly and I woke up to the sound of Şevval’s voice (the Dr’s Assistant), who expressed that everything had gone well. I later saw the Doctor in the hospital room and was able to share that my breathing was much improved, even as of Day 1! The hospital room itself was really lovely and my boyfriend was able to stay next to me on a fold out sofa. The nurses were incredible and throughout the night attentively put ice on my eyes every one hour. I was not able to express my immense gratitude easily after the surgery but they really impressed me and made a huge difference to the overall experience and in my speedy recovery - whereby I happened to have a deficit of bruising and only a minimal 3 days of discomfort. Fast forward to the result and I could not be happier. Leaving the clinic I have already fully accepted my new nose and can really see how it has enhanced my appearance. I am also benefiting from the real results of the septoplasty, in every breath I take. I am excited to see the results transform and become even more outstanding in the upcoming few months, once swelling reduces. I am looking forward to future engagements when photos will showcase the true artistry of Dr Aykan and when my confidence will be boosted by this stunning, understated and natural minor modification to my look.
