I started my cosmetic surgery journey round about 6 months ago. I’ve always been very confident and happy with my appearance as a young and happy 53-year-old. Unfortunately, the menopause has zapped my confidence dramatically and when I look in the mirror, I now feel and look old and haggard. My hooded eyes and under eyes were my main problem so I started looking into upper blepharoplasty and researched many different plastic surgeons across many different countries. Someone then mentioned that some of the best plastic surgeons are in India, and that’s where my journey began with Dr Rajat Gupta. He stood out to me because he has ensured he is prolific and transparent across different platforms including his website with detailed information about himself and his practice. After my initial contact, sending pictures etc... a FaceTime meeting was arranged where we spoke about what I wanted and what would be suitable for me as an individual. Dr Gupta suggested upper blepharoplasty, fat grafting under my eyes and a necktie, I was happy with his suggestion so booked in to have my surgery for the 19th of January. I travelled from England on my own, but everything was straightforward forward ie: visa etc..... On arrival, I went straight to the hospital for preoperative tests inc ECG, blood and chest x-ray then had my surgery the day after. The hospital is outstanding and all of the staff at the hospital are caring and supportive, I felt quite humbled to be in their company. Reena, Dr Gupta's assistant was especially an important part of my journey as she was available to answer any questions and made sure I felt valued as a patient. I am now back home and 11 days post op and I can't stop looking at my before and after pictures and how much this has changed my life, especially my confidence. Dr Gupta is called magic hands for a reason and I can't thank him enough for making me feel like me again! I found the people at the reception really sensible and responsible too. I have had good reviews about the doctor on the Internet as well as in person at the hospital. Professional work was done. The staff at the hospital were also caring. I would suggest emphasising an explanation into what should be expected and what has to be done post-procedure along with an explanation of the procedure. Like for example, the garment that has to be worn 24/7, the importance of lymphatic massages etc. This would be more professional and would be helpful to bear in mind before even anyone thinks of travelling to do a procedure. Overall I am pleased with the service, cost and care provided..
