It’s been two months since I had my transconjunctival eye bag surgery and facial fat grafting to tear trough, temples, midface, nasolabial and marionette areas and I’m very pleased with the results. This was my first surgery of any kind so I was a bit nervous but Dr Rajat was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I was confident that I picked the right doctor from our first consultation.
On to the surgery process—I’ve always had eyebags but they became more prominent after thirty. I also started losing volume in the midface, temples, nasolabial and marionette areas. All these made me look haggard and old so I had to do something about it. The surgery went smoothly and the pain was minimal. My face was heavily bruised and swollen for 4-5 days and by week 2, 80% of it was gone. Makeup can cover the rest so people won’t even notice. I must also say that I was impressed with the staff—the Dr's assistant, nurses, room attendants, anesthesiologist, other doctors—everyone was so nice.
Two months in, my eyebags are gone and I look much fresher now. Volume has also been restored to my face in the sunken areas. I’d done my research on the procedures so I had realistic expectations going in. With fat grafting, there may be a 30%-70% absorption rate depending on the individual. So most of the time, a second or third touchup procedure is needed to achieve the full result. In my case, so far I’ve noticed only slight reabsorption in the nasolabial area. However, it’s still much better than pre-op so I’m not complaining. If I ever want a touch-up, Dr Rajat will definitely be my go-to doctor.
