Sometimes a short burst is all that’s required, at other times on-going support is useful.  Life events and experiences mean that we can fall on challenging times, sometimes we need a third party to help navigate the way.  About Me  Affiliated with the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP). I am educated to master’s level in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy. I hold a distinction Dip in Counselling & Psychotherapy as well as further certificates in general counselling, bereavement grief and loss, child and adolescent counselling as well as play therapy.  Pluralism is a therapeutic modality which appreciates the many different therapeutic options available and aims to offer you what you want, when you want it. My practice is informed by research as well. I am a researcher myself and am always looking to develop my skills and knowledge. I hold additional certificates/diplomas in; integrative psychotherapy, bereavement grief and loss, child play therapy and adolescent training. William Monks Therapy Services Limited - William Monks, Counsellor

William Monks Therapy Services Limited

Mind and Body Works, 15 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2
I am a Counsellor based in Dublin city Centre available to work with individuals and couples who are experiencing issues and difficulties in their lives and relationships. Issues which I work with include sexuality, bereavement, mental health issues, couple/relationship difficulties, parenting difficulties and many more. I have a great deal of experience of working with individuals having worked as a Counsellor since 2005 and working in therapeutic family support for 14 years. Throughout my work I have found the huge benefit people can get from talking about what they are experiencing i the here and now regarding difficulties and exploring how the past may still be impacting the present. The past does not always create difficulties for people and so the work can something focus only on the here and now with some issues and be short term in support people seek solutions to the difficulties. For others there can be a need for more long term support to explore in more detail experiences they have had and which are impacting on their lives.
