Working with Allan makes the journey a little easierMichelle, Ireland, 21 04 20

Since day 1 Allan has given me the time and space to feel heard and understood. He has done this naturally in a relaxed, non-judgemental, respectful, light-hearted and empathetic way. I have gained awareness, perspective and strength both mentally and emotionally from our sessions. Therapy is not an easy thing to go through but working with Allan makes the journey a little easier. I highly recommend Allan and his work at Kildare Psychotherapy and Counselling.

A very comfortable experienceP, Galway, 01 08 15

I am receiving counselling and CBT for depression. This form of treatment is very important for maintaining a positive outlook in life and to offer some of your time to your mental health. I would recommend this sort of treatment to anyone finding things difficult at home, in a relationship, at work or when they are alone. The value of care at Helplink is great - I am unemployed and I find the price of 30e very reasonable. So far, things have been very productive. The people at Helplink are great for responding promptly to any questions or requests you have. The offices themselves are very warm and inviting, easily accessed with a lift in the lobby. The counsellors are highly trained and make sharing one's problems a very comfortable experience.

People usually seek out a counsellor or psychotherapist when they feel stuck or overwhelmed by a particular issue or difficulty. You may have already sought the help of others, such as family, friends or your doctor, but sometimes it can be very helpful to be listened to by someone neutral and where the focus is on you and your experiences. As a trained, experienced counsellor, I provide you with a safe, confidential,non-judgmental space in which you can come to understand yourself and your feelings more fully, and in which new perspectives and new possibilities for change can emerge. My role is to support you and facilitate self-exploration, change and growth. You won’t ever be told what to do or be pressurised into making changes you don’t want to make.  I provide you with a warm, respectful, accepting environment which is based on support and confidentiality.  This creates a trustworthy atmosphere where you can feel secure enough to work on any difficulties. If you have any questions or would like to arrange a consultation you can contact me in confidence either by telephone or by email: I offer an introductory consultation, with no further obligation, to provide the opportunity for you to explain what has brought you to counselling, to see whether you feel comfortable working with me and to assess whether we both think counselling will be helpful.
