Building Bridges Counselling and Psychotherapy - General Practice in Ireland

Building Bridges Counselling and Psychotherapy

39 Linnetfields Square, Clonee, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15

Making the decision to find a counsellor can be a difficult task, whether it is your first time or you are returning back to counselling. It can be a huge step in itself, as you may be experiencing a number of feelings, such as: what if I look silly, what if my problems seem unimportant or what if I don't know where to start? This is normal; honestly do not let this stop you. Please don't hesitate to call me and ask any questions, and then decide if you would like to come along to a free consultation? It's my belief that we all have our own answers to our difficulties and sometimes all we need is a safe place to explore our concerns. Also there are times when the ones closest to us aren't the best people to discuss our concerns, as our relationships with family and friends can often be the source of our distress. At Building Bridges I provide  a safe caring, non-judgemental and supportive space which allows people to explore issues within their life that are presently causing distress. Therapists use different approaches and interventions to suit the requirements of the client. The goal within the therapeutic relationship is help the client work towards making more positive choices.

Plan A Visit On planning a visit some clients have suggested the following concerns: 1.       Stress is getting the best of me, and it is getting harder to concentrate on work, family, and relationships 2.       Intense feelings and thoughts make it difficult for me to concentrate and focus on what’s important. 3.       I try, but I’m struggling to find the answers. 4.       I am standing on the threshold of becoming "all that I can be" and I don't have a clue about how to take the first step. 5.       I am having trouble making decisions; family and friends run my life. 6.       I don't fit in and don't know how to get past hello with new acquaintances. 7.       So much has changed, and I no longer know who I am. 8.       I worry a lot about my weight; I am preoccupied with food. 9.       I am my own worst enemy.  I don't treat myself well, and I question whether I should even exist. 10.   The "unspeakable" has happened, and I need to get past it. These are some concerns clients present with when attending Building Bridges. Initial consultation is free of charge in order for my client to be content and confident in working with me to address their concerns.

Connecting Mindfully (counselling & psychotherapy) - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland
5.0 from 1 verified review
When something in your life is not how you'd like it to be, or when you're looking for help and support for something that you're going through; perhaps a life event, a particular concern or maybe problems with relationships, at home, in school or at work. Maybe you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, frustration, fear, sadness or other emotions.  Stress can be a part of this.  Counselling can help you to better understand what might be going on for you, and to find ways to effectively manage feelings, thoughts or worries.  My experience is that clients come to counselling because they want something in their life to be different. I appreciate that it's often not easy to come to counselling. I welcome clients with warmth and openness, and a non-judgemental listening ear. I am a Person-Centred Therapist and I use ACT, CBT and Choice Theory to help clients work through an issue or to help them shine a new light on an area of their life that is not currently how they would like it to be. Sometimes what we need is to be listened to and heard.  Coming to see a therapist is a brave step towards getting support.  Allowing yourself to talk about and express what you are experiencing might be what you need at this time.  We often don't 'press pause' in our lives, we often don't give ourselves the time or space to check in with ourselves. Stress Management €80 - €120
Anxiety, stress and tension are the biggest limiting factors in the achievement of our goals. Humans manage fear very well – we learn how to manage or avoid the object we are frightened of. However with anxiety or stress we cannot easily identify the cause and our emotions seem to be all consuming, overwhelming – too big to grasp, often leading to panic attacks. Psychoanalysis allows us to identify these hidden causes, allowing our normal coping mechanisms to operate.
Counselling €80 - €120
Psychoanalysis, Counselling, CBT, Life Coaching are all forms of Psychotherapy. Psychoanalysis is a depth psychology addressing mental distress by understanding its underlying, unknown causes. Counselling is the provision of professional guidance in resolving problems. CBT helps you to manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. Life coaching is designed to set and attain goals.
Anger Management €80 - €120
Anger is a manifestation of a deeper underlying issue. It can play havoc with people’s lives. We offer the opportunity to explore unrecognised conflicts, allowing a space to find a resolution.

Kinship - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Kinship

13 Pembroke Street Lower,, Dublin 2
Kinship provides a safe, confidential space where difficulties can be explored in the presence of another—one who offers support and space as you work to become more of your authentic self.Areas of focus include: Depression, anxiety, stress, workplace performance, relationship challenges, transitions, chronic illness, trauma, sexuality, sexual abuse, finding meaning, and more. Some people may begin psychotherapy without a specific problem or issue, but instead with the intention of personal development and achieving their potential. At times we may feel confused, lost, overwhelmed, or dissatisfied for a time before we decide to seek help. It takes courage to ask for support. We encourage the development of effective problem-solving skills to help individuals reach their true potential and begin the process of self-awareness, acceptance, and change. We believe that no two people are exactly alike, which means treatments are tailored to the individual through a Humanistic Integrative Approach. Our therapists use evidence-based methods and are trained to a Master's level. We attend regular supervision in order maintain the highest standard of care.
