I’m Owen Smith (he/him), an accredited humanistic and integrative psychotherapist and CORU-registered social worker. I offer online and in-person therapy to adults across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, working with individuals, couples, and multi-partnered relationships. Clients come to therapy for many different reasons - relationship issues, anxiety, shame, grief, infidelity, identity questions, out of control or compulsive sexual behaviour (CSB), or a sense that something just isn’t quite right. I am a fully qualified psychotherapist with a Level 9 Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from University College Cork having completed four years of training in Turning Point Training Institute. I am an  accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (I.A.H.I.P). I work with a wide range of issues which include relationships, family issues, trauma, grief, loss and bereavement, identity,  multi-cultural issues, self esteem and personal development, psychosexual issues, depression, anxiety, stress, bullying and work related issues . In my previous work as a solicitor I had over twenty years experience working with vulnerable clients and specialised in the areas of family law, equality law, childcare law and refugee law.   As a family lawyer I represented clients in stressful situations encompassing divorce, separation, custody, maintenance and domestic violence. In the area of equality I did a significant amount of work with gay, lesbian and transgender clients, clients with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities both in relation to employment and services. In the equality and refugee areas I worked with people from many different cultural backgrounds.
