Martin Doughan Counselling & Psychotherapy Service

I am a fully accredited (MIACP) counsellor/psychotherapist with a background of over thirty years teaching experience mainly in the area of special needs/learning support. I have professional certificates in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Child & Adolescent Counselling & Psychotherapy and Couples Counselling.  I employ a variety of counselling/psychotherapy orientations (CBT, Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Existential Psychotherapy) but my overall philosophy is firmly embedded in Carl Roger's humanistic/person centred model. In embracing this integrative approach I very much endeavour to create a discrete and personalized therapy to serve the unique needs of each individual client.
