 We all have those difficult periods in life when a little extra help can make all the difference. Sometimes all it takes is for someone to listen with an objective ear, allowing you to get things off your chest. At other times you need practical solutions and support.

 Working as a carer for many years has given me a lot of valuable, grass-roots experience in caring for people with long-term and terminal illnesses, and also in supporting their families. I feel I can offer insight and a genuine understanding of the changes that illness brings into the life of the people affected, as well as to their loved-ones.
 Asperger Syndrome and other special needs can be extremely challenging, especially if you are the primary carer for someone who requires the extra help that special needs demand. Often there just seems to be no time for yourself or your own needs. I have many years' personal experience caring for special needs family members and can offer an understanding and insight into the challenge that this kind of life brings.
