MCAN Health Hair Transplant

On December 18th, I had my hair implant, I was a bit scared. My worries disappeared as soon as I came into contact with the Mcan team.

They were kind, professional, and helpful, always patient and with a smile on their faces.

The experience is much less traumatic than anyone might imagine, it is something relatively easy and one that I will never regret. I advise everyone to contact Mcan and decide to use their services.

I booked to visit Mcan in March and was thoroughly pleased with the consultation pre-surgery and results in post-surgery seem good. However, it is only 2 weeks after the operation and full results aren't expected for another 9-12 months.

The help and advice were given to me before booking was excellent. The clinic itself was lovely, very clean, modern and had a family feel to it. It is situated in the Levent area of Istanbul which is very nice.

One area for improvement is the hotel, Troya. The staff are very friendly and helpful but the hotel itself isn't great. The rooms are small. The walls are too thin and the decor needs updating. They were refurbishing the rooftop terrace when I stayed so maybe the rooms are next. The doctor at Mcan is lovely and her team are very efficient and friendly. Good English have been spoken all around.

I travelled in from the UK, my choice to use Mcan was based on competitive pricing and reviews. Mcan came out about the best for me in terms of customer satisfaction and price. Interaction, contact between myself and the clinic were excellent both prior to booking. Eda did a great job answering all my questions prior to travelling which made the decision much easier. She sent me all information required including preparatory steps to take.

On the day of my surgery, Dr Suzan Kartal explained how things would proceed and there was full transparency when it came to information provided. The technicians assisting were positively lovely, they were friendly and chatty with a very professional approach. It’s been 2 months since I had my procedure but must say I'm really pleased with the results so far and so glad that I went with Mcan health.

I am confident the results will be excellent and at a fraction of what it would have cost in London. Overall, I cannot rate Mcan highly enough! I have also recommended to a few of my friends who are also considering the procedure in the near future.

On the 5th or 6th of September 2017, I had a hair transplant procedure at MCAN, and I’m already seeing some great results now. It was my first time having work done at a clinic like this, but I rather enjoyed the experience. Both the treatment and follow-ups were of the highest quality. We discussed the price in advance and I ended up paying the amount decided on. There were no extra costs.

To be honest, the name of the clinic was a bit different when I arrived. I expected the place to have an MCAN sign on it, but it was called American Aesthetics instead. This wasn’t really an issue though - overall it was still good. I didn’t visit them again for aftercare as the follow-ups were conducted via email. They checked in with me after ten 10 days, and then monthly thereafter. I’m happy with the growth so far, but I’ll need to wait another two or three months before I see the full results. I’m hoping for the best.

The other patients who’d had FUE done, left good feedback online and this convinced me to use MCAN. It’s still too early to say whether the results are going to be worth it - I’ll only see the outcome in six months. I paid the online price.

I won’t be returning to Turkey any time soon, so I send progress photos to them via email. The overall neatness and the flexibility of the service they provided were superb. The team was really professional.

I did some research on MCAN and was happy with what I read online. Their response to my inquiry was also really good, so I knew they were the right people to do my hair transplant. The price was fair, and they gave me a free bottle of shampoo after the treatment - this bottle lasted about 14 days, but I opted to buy additional shampoo. It’s been seven months since my treatment now, but the growth at 5 months was already amazing.

The surgery was clean and run by friendly staff. Everyone was so helpful! On the last day, I was there, I had a hair washing check-up, and then they sent me instructions via WhatsApp and email regarding aftercare. They’ll keep in contact with me for a full year, monitoring the progress of the growth and following up with helpful advice, etc. I’ve got a full head of hair now and the best part is that people I haven’t seen in a couple of months don’t recognize me anymore. I’ve recommended MCAN to a few of my friends who’ve all had their treatments now. I’d give them a full 10/10!

I chose this clinic based on price and great communication. By comparison, the other clinics I’d sent inquiries to had really poor response rates. I went here for a Follicular Unit Extraction and got my money’s worth. I was very pleased with the price. Because they were upfront about everything, there were no expected or hidden costs once I arrived. The price quoted in the email was exactly what I paid.

This was a marvelous clinic and they offered me a fantastic package. They made sure I had transport and that I was brought back to the airport in time to catch my flight home. I was also booked in at an excellent hotel. Everything was first-class. To ensure I got the most out of the treatment, they provided me with cream and shampoo (including instructions on how to use it). The clinic contacted me every month to find out how I was recovering.

During my search for a hair transplant clinic, I made a number of inquiries at different places. The overall service at MCAN seemed good and I got the impression that they’d deliver what they promised. In the end, I made the right choice going with MCAN. I’ve referred about three friends to this clinic so far.

MCAN is a good clinic that prides themselves on excellent service. The nursing staff are very helpful. The one aspect I struggled with was the language barrier, but the doctor was quite proficient in English so he helped a lot in this department. There was one negative point and I made them aware of this at the clinic as well. The overall cleanliness of the surgery can be improved. It wasn’t a dirty place per se (the instruments and the theatre were both clean), but I thought they could make some small changes, like the appearance of the gowns, etc. Overall, it was an excellent experience. The healing process has been good - it’s as expected. There were a few pimples (nothing alarming), but the local physician took care of that. The final results will probably be visible in the next three months. My hairs have already started to grow back. Initially, I did experience some itchiness on the scalp, but this healed without any issues.

I had a very good experience from the flight with Turkish airlines at Gatwick to the staff at MCAN Istanbul. They were very professional and friendly. It was a fast and smooth transaction. I would recommend MCAN to anyone who needs a hair transplant, the hotel was good and the food there was above my expectations.

All in all, I had a great experience now waiting for my results thank you to all the friendly staff at MCAN.

I heard that Turkey is generally a good place to do hair transplants, so I visited the WhatClinic site to search for clinics in that country. After reading some reviews, I contacted two clinics. MCAN’s response rate was great, so I chose them. I was happy to pay the rate that I did and they charged me the same price I saw on the website.

I’ll be honest, I was a little surprised when I saw the clinic for the first time. The place was listed under an entirely different, American name. However, I was told that MCAN had partnered with this clinic and that they were using the facility there. In spite of this, they made a decent first impression. There were one or two small glitches in my experience here, like the pick-up from the airport that didn’t go as smoothly as expected. However, they took everything in their stride and sorted out the problem professionally. The clinic followed up after the procedure and requested I send progress photographs. It was a very good experience overall.

I had a transplant in September 2016 & I'm not happy with the result as some of the front goes in the opposite direction to my hairline & has gaps on either side so it's not very full. Also I see nothing on my bald area on the crown which was the area I was most concerned about. The surgeon saw me for about 10 minutes & I spoke to him through the nice interpreter. The conversation was very short & I don't feel I had enough explanation about what result I could expect. It wasn't explained that they couldn't do much with the crown area. He drew some lines on my head & I was taken into the theatre, One of the nurses punched out the grafts but I got nervous & asked that they did not over harvest, nothing was said by the nurse so no one explained what the consequences would be. I expected the surgeon to do the implants but it was the nurse who started to do this until I complained as I understood the surgeon would do this. He appeared after I had to insist that the interpreter come down to see me & I explained my fear. She said it was normal for 'the team' to do the work but no one warned me before. The surgeon finally came & assisted. I paid about 1800 GBP which included a 4 star hotel, plus taxi fares & flights. It would have been value for money if it had been done right. I'm going to another clinic now to put things right. I cannot recommend this clinic.
The clinic is in a multi-storey building which looks like offices, it was ok but in no way impressive.. In the theatre I noticed the plastic was coming off the surgery couch.
You had to wait at least five minutes if you asked for the interpreter as she was on the 17th floor. The clinic was on the other side of town from the hotel so it was a bit of a journey about 15 mins & I had to pay the taxi each time(I understand you don't have to pay the taxi now). The staff were all very friendly. Their literature said you could exercise and swim after 4 weeks but on several calsl over about 5 months I was told it wasn't advisable to swim or exercise, if it was a misunderstanding then
it should have been explained better. I had a lot of soreness up to 5/6 months.

I got scared because the surgeon wasn't putting in the implants at first & it wasn't explained to me at the any time that a nurse would be punching out the hair

Front looks a bit better know but still unhappy with the back & overall experience.

An excellent patient experience, I checked three clinics and eventually decided on MCAN.

It starts with the pre-operative communication. I did not know anything about hair transplants, and for a few weeks, I was communicating with a lady named Marwa, professional answers, quickly with exceptional courtesy.

From the moment I landed at the airport, everything worked like a Swiss watch. Upon arrival at the clinic, I was accompanied by a representative who led me through the process. The clinic itself is modern and very clean. I was treated by a staff of three members, a Surgeon and two other nurses. VERY friendly and supportive.

The surgery lasted about six hours. There is no pain except for the stage of anesthetic injections that is painful, perhaps a solution to this problem can be found. And it is also desirable to communicate with the patient that this is a short pain associated with the injections of anesthesia because this is daunting.

After surgery, it is recommended to take a leave of about two weeks, because, after 15 days, the reddish tint passes almost completely, the scabs and the dry crusts fall off. In general, after two weeks, the appearance is much more normal. Waiting for the new hair to grow, 3-6 months.
