Changes experienced in our society have made women delay maternity. When they are ready, due to their advanced age, they find themselves with serious infertility problems as they have lost the quality of their eggs. Today, it is frequent to find women over 40 who want to be mothers and choose the ovodonation treatment to become mothers. Our egg donation program is aimed at women who, due to their age, genetic background, surgeries or because of illness; can’t get pregnant. In the HLA Vistahermosa Reproduction Unit, egg donation is one of the most effective treatments in assisted reproduction and is done strictly following the legal requirements. This means not only the donor age limit, between 18 and 35, and the gynaecological, hormonal and genetic studies but the anonymity of the donor and the recipient. The initial consultation  takes approximately 2 hours and we would speak about donors, go through how the treatment flows and you would be seen by Dr. Benito for a basic scan and trial embryo transfer (passing an empty catheter through the cervix).  They are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 15:30.

This is suggested when the ovaries have failed due to early menopause, chemotherapy / radiotherapy, or for women who have not responded to stimulation treatment themselves. Donated eggs come from anonymous donors who must be 30 years of age or less and have undergone various medical tests, medical history and assessments prior to donating.
