Cataract means reduced transparency (opacity) and hardening of the eye lens that is normally clear. Most often we experience cataract after 60 years of age. Among the risk factors for cataract occurrence are mainly age, general diseases, diabetes, using some medicines on a long-term basis, smoking and eye injury. RLE - Refractive Lens Exchange US$1116 - US$1188
RLE or refractive lens exchange is non-laser surgery during which an optical element (intraocular lens) is permanently implanted in the eye. The intraocular lens replaces the original human lens, the dioptric value of which did not correspond to the dioptric condition of the eye. Refractive lens exchange is suitable for patients over 40 years of age with disorders beyond the scope of laser surgery. Quite painlessly, RLE is performed in the operating theatre of the outpatient clinic and the surgery takes about 15 minutes. Intraocular lenses are produced by Alcon, an American company, and have been approved for use by the European Union and the USFDA. The main advantage of RLE is that it is possible to remove any number of diopters through this method. RLE is also a preventive treatment - patients after refractive lens exchange are no more at risk of cataract and the risk of paroxysmal glaucoma is substantially reduced. Therefore, RLE is an excellent choice for patients in which a high number of diopters is combined with familial predisposition to cataract and glaucoma. To patients who would also like to get rid of reading glasses, we recommend the PRELEX method, which is refractive lens exchange completed with so-called multifocal intraocular lens implantation.

I had a Lasik Femtosecond eye surgery for myopia on Sept 28th 2022. Everything went perfectly. I was a bit stressed at first (because it is eye related + I did not know what to expect) but now I'm very glad I did it! When I arrived at the clinic I met Akin, a professional interpreter who has been accompanying me through the whole process, from the pre-surgery exams to the post-exams. He has been very calm and reassuring. He translated everything for me and answered all my questions, and even stayed with me during surgery, which was really comforting. I thank him very much! I was operated on by Hayati Turker, who is a very serious and professional surgeon. I am very grateful for what he did for me as I can now see perfectly. In conclusion, I highly recommend this clinic.
