I took my father to see Dr Lanka at Skin Sense Clinic because his hands, arms, feet and ankles were in a terrible state with raw seeping wounds and very itchy skin. Straightaway Dr Lanka realised my father's GP had been treating him incorrectly and his feet and ankles were in the first stages of ulceration. Her advice was clear and her treatment, although expensive, was spot on. Within five days my father's skin was healing - this after several months of applying the wrong creams prescribed by his GP. By the time of our second appointment with Dr Lanka two weeks later, we were all delighted with the fantastic results of my father's healing skin. Dr Lanka really knows her stuff and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Sam. After years of discomfort and embarrassment due to phimosis, I finally decided to get it resolved via circumcision. She has always been available for any questions I have, no matter how small! My name is Helmut Sandner. I am from Austria and I am currently spending an extended holiday in Marbella. During this time, a thought came to my mind: why not treat myself to a little rejuvenation for the first time in my life? I had several pigmentation spots on my face and hands, a number of spider veins on my thighs, and a few small red skin spots on my back and chest. I had accepted these changes as a normal part of getting older. As we age, we simply learn to live with them and think to ourselves: that’s just life. About three years ago, my daughter said to me, “Dad, I hope you don’t get as many pigmentation spots as your mother.” As she said this, she took my hands in hers and looked at them very carefully. I just smiled and replied that it really wasn’t that bad. Looking back, however, I believe that this moment stayed with me in the back of my mind. Eventually, I decided to visit the clinic for a consultation. I asked whether it would be possible to make these skin imperfections disappear, almost as if using an eraser. After a thorough consultation, I decided to go ahead with several laser treatments. The results exceeded all my expectations. Before the treatment, Dr. Francis Dhobb explained that the pigmentation spots would become noticeably darker after the laser treatment and assured me that there was no reason to worry. That is exactly what happened. After about a week, the spots turned into many tiny dark specks, which gradually flaked off until they disappeared completely. When I looked in the mirror afterwards, I could hardly believe my eyes. The pigmentation spots on my face and hands had vanished, almost as if by magic. It is truly fascinating what modern medicine can achieve today. The small red skin spots on my back and chest were also successfully removed and have now disappeared completely. The spider veins were treated with very fine injections rather than with a laser. You only feel tiny little pinpricks, which are completely painless. I had no discomfort during or after the treatment. Today, the spider veins have disappeared as well, and my skin feels wonderfully smooth and even again. I never imagined that a treatment like this could make me so happy. I truly feel that my skin looks at least ten years younger. Even more importantly, I feel comfortable and confident in my own skin again. It is a wonderful feeling to look in the mirror every morning and simply enjoy what you see. Overall a positive experience, I booked in to have a bump on my arm checked and 6 moles removed by CO2 laser. The clinic was easy to find and the receptionist spoke perfect English, I was seen on time and given my own room where my moles and bumps were examined by an assistant before the doctor saw me. You could see the doctor was very busy/rushed and spent only a few minutes with me where we recommended the CO2 laser rather than surgery for the moles and gave his reasons why. The procedure was fine, the numbing cream worked and only a small amount of discomfort was felt, I felt no pain which was good. To me, it felt like a blunt pencil being pushed on your mole for a few seconds. Post procedure I was given care instructions clearly and dressing and saline solution when one mole started to bleed. The two downsides were that I felt as though the doctor was very rushed due to time constraints on the clinic's end. Although the room I was in had some unattended equipment nearby, it wasn't related to my procedure. However, it sparked a moment of reflection on the clinic's overall hygiene standards. I would recommend this clinic to a friend and would go back for another procedure. One week after the mole removal and they have healed fantastic, I can hardly even tell I have had anything done; in a few more weeks the colour will change back to my normal skin colour and nobody will ever be able to tell.
