The Medical Skin Clinic

After qualifying as a Registered Adult Nurse in 2009, Chrissie worked on the surgical wards and emergency department for several years; developing an interest in skin and wound care. She worked as a Specialist Nurse for a private wound care company and within a Harley Street based aesthetics clinic before launching The Medical Skin Clinic Brentwood in 2016. In 2018 the Newmarket branch was launched. Chrissie specialises in dermatology and is currently undertaking MSc Clinical Dermatology.

Dr Nederstron qualified as a Doctor in 2012 and completed GP training in 2018. Her interest in Women’s Health is reflected in the qualifications she has gained such as Diplomas from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist (DRCOG) and the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH) and the Menopause Skills Module theoretical component by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.  Dr Nederstrom’s other specialist interest is Dermatology and she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology at the Queen Mary University of London in 2019 and is a member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society. For the last few years she has worked in an NHS Dermatology Clinic treating patients with lesions, rashes, hair disorders and excess sweating  and part of this job she also does regular Skin Surgery, Cryotherapy and Steroid injection clinics.            

Dr. Al-Shammari is a Consultant Dermatologist and the Lead for Skin Cancer and Dermatology Audit Projects at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds. He completed his specialist training in dermatology in 2000 and has been practicing as a consultant since that time.

He has trained and worked in several countries, gaining broad experience in the management of inflammatory skin conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis, skin infections and others), as well as neoplastic skin diseases (skin tumours and cancers). He also has extensive expertise in dermatologic surgery.

Alongside his clinical and research work, he is actively involved in teaching. He delivers clinical training and educational sessions to Cambridge University medical students, internal medicine trainees, junior doctors, and nurses.

Dr. Al-Shammari is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and a former Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, reflecting his longstanding engagement in international dermatology networks.
