I used to be a nervous patient, but now I don't give my visits a second thought

5 50 Dentist Consultation

I have been coming to this practice for very many years, and have probably by now had most of my teeth attended to, as the years progress.
The atmosphere throughout the clinic is really very friendly, from receptionist to hygienist to dentists and assistants.

Paul, and Emily, (the dentist and nurse I book in with) make every effort to put a patient at ease and put great emphasis on clearly explaining procedures and the reasons for work to be done, which is really helpful.

I used to be a nervous patient, but now I don't give my visits a second thought! I could not recommend them more highly.

They are so kind and thoughtful.

5 50 Dentist Consultation

Paul has been looking after my teeth for nearly 4 years now and they have been trransformed. He is so highly skilled and solves problems in creative ways. I particularly value the detailed treatment plan I am always given before starting a course. The reception staff are also superb, so welcoming and helpful. Rachel, the hygienist is the best I’ve come across , and I’m 72. I really feel that I’ve fallen on my feet at Stoke Bishop Dental

The braces are definitely improving my teeth. I’m satisfied

Braces

I went for a consultation at Stoke and then decided to have my braces done with them. This is the only clinic I consulted and I’m happy with the choice. I, of course, needed to go for follow-ups. They gave me a fair price.

Before I signed up for the braces, I had a very comprehensive consultation. I also received some additional teeth cleaning products (for maintenance, etc.). The braces are definitely improving my teeth. I’m satisfied.

The best part was that the procedure was painless

5 50 Root Canals

I had a root canal done at Stoke Bishop. The price was the deciding factor for me here. In all honesty, I still think it was too much money, but compared to some other clinics, it was worth it. There were no additional costs.

The clinic is very good and well-organized. The best part was that the procedure was painless (which is always a plus for a dentist appointment!). I had a check-up seven weeks after the root canal and didn’t pay for this (it was included in the initial cost). Everything was great.

Dentist Consultation, Veneers

Really thorough assessment/consultation. Paul detailed the treatment really well and outlined different options. It was clear that he really wants the best for you and your teeth. Look forward to starting treatment. Excellent start in terms of treatment options.
They even took the time to distract my little girl who was a little fidgety. Prior to the appointment they called to understand more about what I wanted and sent out a welcome pack.

I felt very comfortable and relaxed in her hands

5 50 Hygienist Session

So far I have only seen the hygienist. She cleaned my teeth and did a very thorough, professional job. She was extremely knowledgable and I felt very comfortable and relaxed in her hands. If all the hygienists work to her standards then you can't go wrong !

How did we manage before the days of reviews?? I chose this clinic because the reviews were very good. So far I have to say, I'm very happy with my decision.
I'm yet to have work done by the dentist but I've seen him to discuss future treatment and I'm very happy so far

Sedation Dentistry successfully uses medication to put the nervous patient in a very relaxed, dreamlike state, while their surgery or treatment is carried out. This means you will not feel the stress and anxiety that some people suffer from when they visit the dentist.

With this method, even though you will not experience feelings of nervousness or anxiety, will still be able to understand and respond to requests from your dentist - this is important to make sure you remain comfortable, and also for the dentist to ask any questions if necessary. However the effect of the medications means you may not remember much (or anything at all) about what went on during treatment. This is perfectly normal, and you can ask your dentist or nurse to explain any details to you afterwards, if you so wish.

Dr Paul Wilson and Dr Jim Toms both have qualifications from the society for advancement in sedation in dentistry (SAAD). The type of sedation we offer at Stoke Bishop Dental is intravenous conscious sedation (also know as IV sedation)

Sinus Lift/Graft

are When implants are placed there needs to be enough bone for the implant to be stable enough to support teeth. In some cases in the top jaw, the air space that is above the teeth prevents this and we need to graft a small amount of bone to cover the implant to enable a stable implant for function.

Treatment for Wrinkles (45 mins)

By reducing the movement of your facial muscles in these areas your skin stops being creased, causing your lines to soften or even fade away. Muscle relaxants do just that. They stop/reduce your muscle/s function by blocking neuromuscular transmission – it stops chemical messages travelling from your nerves to your muscles. In the areas treated, the muscles are temporarily inactivated resulting in crease reduction, and whilst the muscles are temporarily inactivated you can break the subconscious habit of overusing these muscles. Muscle relaxants smooth out lines by temporarily inactivating your facial muscles. Results are visible in days and can last for 3-4 months following initial treatment. Subsequent treatments may last much longer.
