Dental Bridges
Dental crowns are usually referred to as “dental caps” or “tooth caps”. There are several uses of crowns/bridges. Chipped/ broken/ missing/ root canal treated teeth are some cases that require crowns/bridges. The type/ form crowns is entirely subjective, and can only be decided on an oral examination. Earlier crowns were purely made of metal, and, like silver fillings, did not give a satisfying look. (However, they are still being used!). Some porcelain fused to metal crowns show a blackish line at the gum margin, and can be quite unpleasing in the front teeth. You can opt for metal free crowns which are much more aesthetic than the others.
