Star Dental Implant Center

My wife and I came to Star Dental because a good friend recommended them and we had the opportunity to travel together. Star arranged to have us picked up at the airport and transportation to dental visits. The staff and doctors were amazing. We immediately felt welcome. Everyone was compassionate and caring. We had implants and cavities filled at a fraction of the cost in Florida plus a wonderful vacation in beautiful Costa Rica. We highly recommend Star Dental. The dental clinic was actually more modern and advanced then our dentist back home. It's worth the trip!

I was very happy with my dealings with Star Dental Clinic. For connections out of their office I dealt almost entirely with Melissa (based in Seattle); for dealings in the Clinic I dealt with both the dental practitioners and their support staff. I found the facilities as good as any I have used at home in Canada, and better than some. Personnel were knowledgeable and friendly, treatment was conducted quickly and efficiently, everyone spoke English which compensated for my inability to speak Spanish. They run a highly professional operation.

As a Canadian, the only hesitation I would have is with respect to currency exchange - I estimate I saved about $1,000.00 even after allowing for hotel, food and travel costs, and would have saved substantially more if I had needed more work done. Not only would I recommend Star Dental to others, but I actually did so - a friend of mine who needed more extensive dental work arranged to travel with me for his own treatment. I spoke with him the day before completing this review and I've been advised by him that he is also very happy with the service he has received. I now need a little more work but can't justify the cost of another trip to Costa Rica for it - I wish Star Dental was much closer.

I chose Star Dental Implant Center because the Doctors were degreed in the states. I am very happy with my choice. I had four implants and crowns placed and everything was handled professionally with attention to all the details necessary for overseas travel. I received expert care and value for my money.

World-class. My experience with Star Dental is the entire staff is extraordinarily sensitive, smart /professional and even fun. It's as if they read my mind and anticipated my fears from beginning to end. Basically, they get it: You are going to another country to spend a lot of money and put yourself at the mercy of people you haven't met.

All I can say is I got 3 implants, 4 crowns, 4 root canals, 2 BONE graft surgeries, and 3 cavities when I arrived. After 3 visits I left with a new smile and teeth I could rely on. Even after the hotel, flight, food-, etc. I still saved thousands compared to USA dental quotes. I did this without sacrificing an ounce of expertise. I fact I believe Star Dental is better than average high-end dental offices in USA.

I wouldn't hesitate to come back to Costa Rica to see them even for a check-up instead of a USA dentist. . I have been recommending them to anyone who asks, and a bunch of people have asked how I did it! There were no unpleasant or significant surprises from my perspective. This is key because a decision this big is all about trust right? It is for me. Their process starts addressing this long before you get there. In my view, they get full credit for having created an affordable and effective solution to my complicated dental mess that I was too scared to deal with for years.

I am extremely pleased with the results of the dental work performed at Star Dental. From my first contact with the US patient coordinator who helped with flights and lodging to the absolute professionalism of the Doctors and staff, every step of the process was transparent and honest. In terms of cost the savings were substantial. The price I was quoted at the start was the exact price I paid. Throughout the process all my questions and concerns were answered and explained. Most importantly the doctors and staff cared deeply about my outcome. I could not be more pleased with how things turned out. To anyone considering implant surgery I urge you to contact Star Dental.

I couldn't be more pleased with Star Dental, friendly and accommodating and above all Dr Carolina Cespedes is a perfectionist. They picked me up at the airport, I had a great apartment at a 4-star hotel at a great rate. Provided a driver for all appointments who went out of his way to accommodate me, stopping by the store etc. I had an "All on 4" for a lot less than a U.S. price, done by bank draft that was prearranged with my bank. It was not done until I called to initiate it from the office in Costa Rica. I highly recommend Star Dental and feel I had the greatest care in the world. Dr Carolina Cespedes.

In September 2019, I had two new crowns placed by Dr Sevilla. Although the lab had to rework one of the crowns, Dr Sevilla did a careful and conscientious job of ensuring that the crowns fit properly. The clinic was clean and was well organized. On my next visit to Costa Rica, I expect to do more dental work at Star Clinic and recommend Dr Sevilla without reservation.

Very professional, and kind. I found the staff to be very accommodating to my needs. I didn’t even have a passport, to begin with. They helped me pick a hotel, and provided transportation. I even got to do some sightseeing while I was there. Costa Ricans are very hospitable people, and their food is great. Overall, it was a great experience, I highly recommend it.

Dr Sevilla and his dental team are the best, they were able to get me eating my favourite foods, and not be embarrassed about the way I smile anymore. Bless their hearts

I visited Star Dental a few weeks ago, I am very happy and pleased with my implants. I would recommend it to anyone needing to get implants done.

My experience at Star Dental Implant Center has exceeded my expectations. As someone coming from the US who does not speak Spanish, I have had so much assistance from Laura and Andrea with making difficult travel and transportation arrangements. Their knowledge of key places to visit, to stay and to eat has made this a special experience. However, the most important part of this journey has been discovering the skill and care with which this team of dentists and oral surgeons have taken on my case, which was complicated by underlying type 1 diabetes. They considered all the risks, both short and long term and clearly laid out my options. I was able to make an informed choice and immediately proceed with the plan. The budget was clearly discussed as we went over the itemized charges. I was already aware of many of these costs procedures so I estimated a savings of one half to two-thirds of that in the States. The travel here or portions of it are included in that as well.

I was amazed at the speed and expertise Dr Guillen and Dr Feoli completed the first phase. They explained in excellent English my aftercare and prepared me well for phase 2 with the Oral Surgeon Dr Gonzalez who, several days later completed phase 2. After which I was fitted with a beautifully made prosthesis. In four months I'll continue with the final phases of treatment and realise my hope and this capable teams promise of a healthy mouth and much better general health. The country’s motto is very fitting as it applies to me and my complete experience so far. Star Dental Implant Center and Costa Rica have truly offered me a taste of ''Pura Vida''.

I came to Star Dental clinic for extraction of two molars and replacement with implants. My experience has been very good. On this trip I had the extractions done and will return for bone graft and other work in the future.

I was absolutely impressed with Star Dental from my initial contact and throughout my entire dental treatment. I travelled to Costa Rica from the USA for several implants, a sinus lift, extractions, crowns, etc.

Dr Sevilla and his team were able to identify several issues during my treatment that the dentist in the USA had not addressed.
