What is Liposuction?

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgical procedure where localized fat is broken up and sucked out of the body.  Liposuction is performed by making small incisions in the body in order to insert a thin tube, or cannula, through the incision into localized fat deposits between the skin and muscle of the patient.
