Senior Physiotherapist - BSc(Hons) MCSP HPC

Greg graduated from the University of the Witwatersand, South Africa in 1994 and has been part of the Physio in the City team since moving to the U.K in 2003.

He specialises in sports injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Greg has a special interest in the prevention of posture related injuries in office based staff.

He is involved in our Ergonomics programme conducting CityBacks ergonomic posture management training workshops as well as carrying out workstation assessments.

Sports and Deep Tissue Massage Therapist

Mark qualified in Sports Massage with Honours at the London School of Sports Massage in 1991. In 2010 he enhanced this qualification to a Level 5 BTEC Sports Massage Diploma. He has now accrued 20+ years experience.

Formerly an Essex County Level swimmer. he made the transition into a triathlete in 1985.

Having won a National Age Group gold medal at the British Junior Championships in 1987 he soon began to progress into the senior ranks.

From 1989-97 Mark won 3 senior British Championships medals (2 silver, 1 bronze) and won the British Grand Prix Series outright for 3 consecutive years (92-94). He also represented Great Britain at an Elite Level on over a dozen occasions at European and World Championships. He has also competed in 7 Ironman Triathlons including the prestigious Hawaii World Championships in 2004 and has a marathon PB of 2hrs 43 mins..

Mark is a qualified YMCA Fitness Trainer and also possesses ASA Swim Coach and Schwinn Spinning Instructor qualifications.

Pilates Instructor

Sarae came to Pilates as a student in 2003 and was introduced to its rehabilitation potential when recovering from two lower back injuries. This inspired her to learn to combine her skills as a trainer and coach, with her growing passion for Pilates. Sarae studied and completed: Advanced Pilates Instructor qualification, with advanced fitness and physiology via City Lit London; Pilates in Pregnancy taught by Allan Menezes, Director of Pilates Institute Australia; and, a Standing Pilates Instructor qualification from the PhysicalMind Institute New York. In addition, she is a full member of REPS and can be found on their Member Directory.

Fiona studied Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University, graduating with honours in 1999. She has a special interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal dysfunction, particularly in back pain and post-surgical rehabilitation. Fiona has extensive experience working as a Physiotherapist in both the public and private sector. 

With growing evidence in the role of exercise and Pilates she trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates institute and achieved Class Instructor status. She also studied Polestar in the rehabilitation of patients using the specialised Pilates equipment. 

Fiona continues her professional development by attending course in both the UK and the USA. 

Fiona is also a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. She treats pain from musculoskeletal injuries and headaches using acupuncture.

After qualifying in 2008 from the University of Brighton Jack immediately began working with athletes from an amateur to national level. 

He has always maintained a keen interest in sports podiatry throughout his career while also spending considerable time working in routine chiropody, diabetic clinics, cosmetic podiatry, bio-mechanics and nail surgery, all within NHS and private practice.

 The role of the lower limb in everyday life is as important in the non athlete as in the enthusiastic amateur and he offers a wide range of specialist treatments to enable effective care and recovery.

 Jack is mainly based in central London but will regularly run clinics in the surrounding areas to work with local teams, clinics and sports facilities to ensure clients are able to maintain their commitment to healthy gait and posture and that have the opportunity to seek specialist treatment.

 Jack was an active rugby and american football player and is a keen cyclist. 

His treatment philosophy is accurate, tailored care and uses his experience and enthusiasm to deliver results.

Alex started practicing Martial Arts (Taekwondo ITF) at an early age and in his 17 years of practice he became a multiple national champion. From 2001 until 2007, he was selected in the Romanian National Taekwondo Team. During these years he has won multiple international competitions becoming European and World Champion at different categories and in 2005 obtained a Black Belt with 2nd degree.

His sports experience has led him to have a better understanding of the different stresses and tensions that may be placed upon the body during a competition and training. Since then he has become increasingly interested in sports injuries and has decided to develop his skills in Physiotherapy and Sports & Remedial Massage.

Studying Physiotherapy at Physical Education and Sports University in Romania (2004-2008) has helped him to improve his knowledge about sports and physiotherapy and has also introduced him to Sports and Remedial Massage.

In 2006 he started working as a sports massage therapist and continued learning and developing his knowledge into complementary massage types and techniques. At the moment, he is fully qualified in Sports and Remedial Massage, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, Cellulite Breakdown, Aromatherapy and Deep Tissue. During his training and working years as a massage therapist he has collaborated with several massage centres, clinics and with two Taekwondo clubs treating and working with a wide range of clients from athletes to disabled persons with different needs and problems

Petr Dobes is a qualified soft tissue therapist specialising in sports and remedial massage techniques. He is particular renowned for his deep tissue massage. In addition, Petr also relies upon a variety of techniques like Trigger point Therapy, Myofascial release and controlled stretching to encourage healing of his clients tissues. It is paramount for Petr that he works closely with his clients to help them achieve their goals and prevent injury. Having spent half his life playing semi-pro football in Czech Republic he is well accustomed to understanding how debilitating an injury can be. Petr's keen interest in sport is still very much shown from his track record of treating top athletes at Aldershot Town FC and Old Allthian Rugby Club.

In order to survive a busy schedule of massage, Petr maintains his own strength and fitness in the great outdoors and will often be seen tackling the scenic hills of Surrey on his mountain bike. Moreover, he maintains his competitive nature with time spent in the squash court, gym and pool. While it’s clear Petr is passionate about his role as a Sports massage therapist, he is also a keen traveller who loves to share his stories of travel as well as hear of others!
