I already feel so much better after my first Osteopath ConsultationMartine, UK, 30 08 16

I am more than happy with my experience there. People were very welcoming. The therapist took the time to listen to my issues, define the problems and talk about the solutions. She managed to find where the problems were and in just 1h session, I already feel so much better. Her attitude was very professional and very gentle as well. I already booked an appointment for next month. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

I have seen a dramatic improvement in pain levelsCatharine, UK, 27 06 15

I sought treatment at the Plymouth Naturopathic clinic to help with chronic lower back pain, constant tiredness and IBS and have been receiving treatment since March 2014. My symptoms were such that I was having to adapt my lifestyle as I found my leisure activities of riding, yoga and running painful. I had also adapted my diet, excluding some foods as, at times, some foods caused attacks of IBS. In addition, I had come to a point where I was taking time off work: my job necessitates driving long distances and at times and I found I was in too much pain to drive. I have and continue to been treated with a combination of osteopathy and naturopathy. The naturopathic approach has seen me review and adapt not only what I eat and but also how I eat and drink. What seemed like simple solutions had an immediate effect on my IBS symptoms and over time they have resolved completely. My new approach to what and how I eat does not feel restrictive, indeed, the advice from the clinic was that it is counterproductive to become obsessive about diet so I can enjoy a treat too! I have experienced back pain for many years. As there seemed to be several things causing the problems an MRI scan was recommended in order establish exactly what was going on and to enable treatment to be planned accordingly. My treatment is an ongoing process which is carried out on a consultative basis; as one problem is resolved it usually leads to another area to work on. Hamish has described this process as “peeling the layers of an onion”. In addition to the improvements gained from osteopathy, the problems I experience with my back have also benefited from my change in diet with pain levels becoming more manageable. At this stage in the process, I have seen a dramatic improvement in pain levels; I estimate a 60 -80% improvement currently and my energy levels are dramatically increased. In addition to naturopathy and osteopathy I have also worked with Hamish to develop a yoga-based exercise routine which I do most days. My treatment process is ongoing: I feel very happy to have found a clinic where a consultative and inclusive approach is used. I have found my treatment to be exceptional value for money and would highly recommend the clinic and in particular Hamish Tailyour My experience of the Plymouth Naturopathic Clinic began with a Google search which led me to their website which was comprehensive and informative. I then spoke on the phone with Hamish Tailyour and having talked about my symptoms and possible approaches, I arranged my first appointment. I arrived for my first visit to find the waiting area at the clinic itself spotless and at the same time, relaxed and comfortable which immediately put me at ease. During my appointment Hamish was extremely thorough in discussing my history and went on to outline what he felt the best approach to improving my symptoms would be. He explained very clearly that he works on a consultative basis. We discussed both naturopathy and osteopathy during this session. Hamish then carried out an osteopathic assessment and some treatment. A huge plus for the clinic is that the ethos is to have longer appointment times (an hour to an hour and a half) than I have experienced in other clinics. I feel this allows for more detailed discussion, more comprehensive treatment and ultimately a faster recovery I would highly recommend this clinic and in particular Hamish Tailyour for anyone with complex issues who is looking for a consultative approach in improving their health. The clinic is highly professional and extremely easy to engage wit. As a result of working with them, my health has improved enormously.

Holistic Massage £28 - £85
Massage £28 - £85
Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body to promote relaxation. It helps to alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm and stress: promoting health while generating a deep sense of relaxation and well-being. Massage improves the function of the circulatory, lymphatic, muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems and in doing so may improve the rate at which the body can recover from injury and illness. Stress related symptoms such as headaches, neck and lower back pain and repetitive strain injuries may also be much helped with massage especially when combined with the occupational health advice offered. Massage increases the effectiveness of other complementary treatments such as osteopathy, chiropractics and homeopathy.

Pregnancy Massage £25 - £40
Most people enjoy human touch and particularly during pregnancy a touch can convey comfort, awareness and also help alleviate aches and pains. All of these are of benefit, especially when you are pregnant. Benefits of Pregnancy Massage include: • Tranquil relaxation and stress reduction. • Relief from muscle cramps and spasms, particularly in the lower back, neck, hips, and legs. • Increase in blood and lymph circulation, which can reduce swelling. • Reduces stress on weight-bearing joints. • Improves outcome of labour and eases labour pain. • Provides support for the new mother with physical and emotional strains of mothering. Massage during pregnancy differs from a regular massage in a couple of ways. The biggest way it differs is that the person receiving the massage is pregnant, and therefore knowledge of pregnancy and the anatomy of a pregnant woman are very important. This means that positioning during a massage is critical to the safety and well-being of both the mother and the baby she is carrying. There are also parts of the body that should not be massaged. Massage is beneficial for almost everyone. Even women carrying multiples babies can benefit greatly from massage. How does pregnancy massage differ from regular massage? The mothers body must be properly positioned and supported during the massage, using pillows and padding. Proper positioning ensures comfort and safety for the mother and baby. What are the benefits of pregnancy massage? Pregnancy massage can help to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and can also help to relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints. It is a popular complementary therapy during pregnancy for back pain, when choices for pain relief, such as medication, are often limited. Not only can massage be physically beneficial, but the human touch can be comforting and provide emotional support during pregnancy.

Pregnancy massage is a great way to relieve the tension from your changing body. It is particularly helpful after 20 weeks although can be performed any time after your first trimester. Pregnancy massage also can help manage pelvic girdle pain if you have been experiencing that. Pregnancy massage is usually performed in side lying and long sitting, but if you would prefer to lay face down whilst I massage the back of your body during the treatment I do also have a special pregnancy massage cushion with a bump hole that will allow this.
