Mr. Dharmasena is a highly respected consultant ophthalmic, oculoplastic, lacrimal, and orbital surgeon based in Manchester, offering specialist treatment for both adults and children. His extensive expertise covers the management of benign and malignant eyelid and orbital tumours, Grave's orbitopathy, tear-duct disorders, dry eye syndromes, eyelid malpositions—including ptosis, ectropion, and entropion—trauma, and complex infections of the eyelids and orbit.
He earned his MBBS from the University of Colombo in 2000, followed by foundational ophthalmic training in the East Midlands Deanery. His early postgraduate career included senior house officer roles at Moorfields Eye Centre, Croydon University Hospital NHS Trust, and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He subsequently completed higher specialist training in the North-Western Deanery, and pursued distinguished fellowships in orbital, lacrimal, and oculoplastic surgery at both Moorfields Eye Hospital and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.
