Mr Simon Whitley

Simon qualified in both medicine and dentistry from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He undertook basic surgical training in the northeast of England before going on to obtain specialist training in Cardiff and Manchester. He was appointed as a consultant in 2006. As well as working at Barts and The Royal London Hospitals, he is a Consultant at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow. Simon manages patients with a wide range of general oral & maxillofacial problems ranging from impacted teeth, facial pain, and benign mouth conditions. He has a specialist interest in the managment of head and neck cancer, salivary gland surgery, facial skin cancer and reconstruction following cancer surgery. Within the NHS he is the lead clinician and chair of the head and neck multidisciplinary team for north east London. He has recently been appointed as Head & Neck Pathway Director for London Cancer and was previously chair of the north east London cancer network tumour advisory board for head and neck, and lead clinician for head and neck services at Princess Alexandra Hospital. He is actively involved in the training of junior surgeons, medical and dental students and presents and publishes widely.

Miss Nayeem Ali

Nayeem graduated in Dentistry and Medicine from University College London with Honors and Distinction. Following surgical training he was awarded the FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and started specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the prestigious St Bartholomew's and Royal London Hospitals. He was appointed consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 2003 at Bart's and The London and Whipps Cross NHS trusts. Nayeem has a wide practice covering many areas of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a special interest in facial deformity (Orthognathic) surgery, maxillofacial trauma, dental implants and bone grafting, temporomandibular joint disorders and all aspects of Oral Surgery. He also has an interest in sports injuries to the face and has worked with several premier league football and rugby clubs. Nayeem has a passion for teaching and training students and young surgeons in his specialty, both at his hospital and at Warwick University where he is a lecturer. He was NHS lead clinician at both Whipps Cross and Bart's and the London for 5 years and sits on the local dental committee as an advisor for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Miss Jackie Row

Jackie commenced her career as a nurse in the independent sector before moving into the NHS where she progressed in the field of women's health holding a variety of clinical and managerial posts. Following managerial experience and the completion of a Master's degree in Healthcare Management (MHM), Jackie returned to the independent sector being appointed as Director of Nursing/Operations for eighteen months before becoming the Hospital Director at Holly House Hospital, a post that she held for 10 years. In October 2011 Jackie was appointed as the senior clinical professional for Aspen Healthcare group of hospitals holding the position of Clinical Director. In July 2012 having decided to become a self-employed healthcare consultant Jackie became part of Max Fax LLP as a founding partner along with Nayeem Ali & Simon Whitley. Jackie is responsible for ensuring that best practice and the quality of service remains at the forefront of all care delivery and leads on the operational and strategic agenda for the LLP.
