Her voice is very soothing and made me feel comfortable enough to go and see her

5 50 Dentist Consultation

I would highly recommend Dr Michelle. I was a person who was terrified of going to dentists. My heart would start racing the moment I walked into a dental office. Due to health reasons, I had to find a good Holistic Dentist. In looking for a biologic dentist, I found her as well as others. Her reviews were the reason I called. From the moment I contacted her she called more than once and answered all my questions without making me feel bad or rushed. Her voice is very soothing and made me feel comfortable enough to go and see her.

From the moment I met her, she made me feel at home. Very gentle touch, never rushed. Always asked first and gave me options when needed. Always made sure you understood what she was doing. Very clean, modern equipment. They even had headphones and a TV above you to watch if you wanted. Very relaxing. Her assistant was kind and gentle also. I had some extensive work done and am so thankful that God put her in my path. I will definitely go back to her and have already been recommending Dr Michelle.

Thank you Dr Michelle and Lucia

5 50 Dental Bridges, Fillings, Teeth Cleaning

I love my new smile thanks to Dr Michelle Spears at Dental Bio-Esthetics in Playa del Carmen! She is amazing! What made my experience so wonderful was her gentle treatment, kindness, care and quality work! I was looking for a holistic female dentist who also spoke English in Mexico and I am grateful that I found Michelle! Her clinic was clean, modern and relaxing. I had all my mercury fillings removed, two permanent bridges, bleaching and 8 teeth repaired. I came to Michelle with a fear of dentists and needles and she instantly made me feel at ease. I actually enjoyed every visit at her clinic, especially with Netflix! The total cost was 75% less than I was quoted in the United States. The money I saved paid for my entire vacation to Mexico! I highly recommend her!

CAD/CAM Dental Restorations

CAD/CAM Dental Restorations - Dental Bio EstheticsCAD/CAM Dental Restorations - Dental Bio Esthetics

The term CAD/CAM is literally a shortening of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) aka "a crown in a day." The CAD/CAM machine provides the dentist with restorations, which are milled from blocks of white composite resin or porcelain, matching the shade of the restored tooth. Once the treated tooth is shaped and prepared, an image is taken of this defected tooth. The image then provides the data for a computer and the software is used to create a porcelain or resin composite piece for the defect, essentially creating a virtual restoration. The software then sends this virtual data to a milling chamber in the lab where the dental restoration is carved out of a solid block of composite resin or porcelain. The resultant restoration can then be adjusted in the patients mouth and cured/bonded in place. Following acid etching of both the underside of the restoration and the topside of the tooth itself (which increases surface area on both opposing surfaces), composite resin materials are then used to fuse the resultant restoration to the tooth, completing the restoration process.

Dental Bonding

Dental Bonding - Dental Bio EstheticsDental Bonding - Dental Bio Esthetics

Dental bonding takes little to no preparation, and the use of anesthesia if often not necessary unless the bonding is being used to fill a decayed tooth. Your dentist will match the shade of your existing teeth to select a composite resin color that will closely match the color of your tooth. There are two forms of dental bonding: direct composite bonding and adhesive bonding 1. Direct Composite Bonding- Direct composite bonding is the process where dentists use tooth-colored composites (white or natural-looking materials) that they have in their offices to fill cavities, repair chips or cracks, close gaps between your teeth and build up the worn-down edges of teeth. The composite materials may also be directly applied and sculpted to the surfaces of teeth that show most prominently when you smile, for minimally invasive smile makeovers. In the dental world these are called direct composite veneers but generically known by most to be called "bonding."

Dental Bridges

Dental Bridges - Dental Bio EstheticsDental Bridges - Dental Bio Esthetics

A dental bridge essentially consists of:

*A pontic or false tooth used to replace the missing tooth, which is made from gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials.

*Two crowns - serving to anchor the false tooth in place.

PRICES are per unit, not per bridge, and it will depend from the material of what is made

Implant Bridge

Implant Bridge - Dental Bio EstheticsImplant Bridge - Dental Bio Esthetics

Dental implants are posts that are surgically placed in the upper or lower jaw, where they function as a sturdy anchor for replacement teeth. Because they fuse with the jawbone, they offer firm support to man-made teeth such as dentures or bridges

Maryland Bridge

Maryland Bridge - Dental Bio EstheticsMaryland Bridge - Dental Bio Esthetics

Resin-bonded bridges or Maryland-bonded bridges These are chosen when the gap to be filled is in between the front teeth, or when the teeth on either side of the missing tooth are strong and healthy without large fillings. The false tooth is made of plastic and is fused to metal bands that are bonded to the adjacent teeth using resin that is hidden from view

PRICE is per 3 unit bridge zirconio-porcelana, 2 wings and a pontic.. $1,800.00 US dollars

Porcelain Bridge

Porcelain Bridge - Dental Bio EstheticsPorcelain Bridge - Dental Bio Esthetics

Dental bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth.A bridge is made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap -- these two anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth -- and a false tooth/teeth in between. These false teeth are called pontics and can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials. Dental bridges are supported by natural teeth or implants

They can be made of:  Gold / All-metal,
Porcelain / All-ceramic and Porcelain-fused-to-metal.

PRICES are per unit and depends of the material will be use

Temporary Bridge

Temporary Bridge - Dental Bio EstheticsTemporary Bridge - Dental Bio Esthetics

A temporary crown is a provisional, short term restoration used in dentistry. Usually the temporary crown is constructed from a chemical-cure composite. The temporary material is shaped by the dentist to form a tooth shape that protects the prepared tooth, prevents damage to the periodontal tissues (gums) and disguises the prepared tooth to a degree until the final, definitive restoration can be made by a dental technician. A temporary crown will usually be cemented in place with a soft temporary dental cement, such as Temp-Bond NE. This allows for easy removal when fitting the definitive restoration.

NOTE: There is not a charge for a temporary crown if is going to be perform a final crown

Dental crowns are restorations that protect damaged, cracked or broken down teeth. A crown strengthens your existing, damaged tooth so as to preserve its functionality. Dental crowns are also commonly known as caps (because a crown sits over your existing tooth, covering the entire outer surface).

Dentures

Complete dentures can be either "conventional" or "immediate." Made after the teeth have been removed and the gum tissue has begun to heal, a conventional denture is ready for placement in the mouth about eight to 12 weeks after the teeth have been removed. Unlike conventional dentures, immediate dentures are made in advance and can be positioned as soon as the teeth are removed. As a result, the wearer does not have to be without teeth during the healing period. However, bones and gums shrink over time, especially during the healing period following tooth removal. Therefore a disadvantage of immediate dentures compared with conventional dentures is that they require more adjustments to fit properly during the healing process and generally should only be considered a temporary solution until conventional dentures can be made. They can be made of acrylic teeth and a standard shape or the personalised dentures using porcelain teeth and the esthetic shape, length and wide of each tooth. Prices are per arch, lower or upper

Flexible Partial Dentures

Flexible Partial Dentures - Dental Bio EstheticsFlexible Partial Dentures - Dental Bio Esthetics

A removable partial denture or bridge usually consists of replacement teeth attached to a pink or gum-colored plastic base, which is connected by metal framework that holds the denture in place in the mouth.or compared to traditional metal partial dentures, Valplast® offers better aesthetics, comfort and durability. In fact, Valplast® partials are made from an unbreakable nylon resin. It was long thought that removable partial dentures had to be rigid to be effective.  Partial dentures are used when one or more natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw. Prices are per arch, lower or upper.

Overdentures

Overdentures - Dental Bio Esthetics

An overdenture is a type of removable denture thats used for people who still have a few remaining natural teeth or not have any left. The overdenture is made to fit over the teeth roots left in the bone; it uses the teeth roots (with nerves removed by root canal) as an anchoring support for the denture. Usually, dentists like to keep as many natural teeth as possible, even when a complete denture is needed. To be kept, natural teeth must be shaped to fit under the overdenture and usually undergo root canal treatment during which the nerve of the tooth is removed so theyre not too sensitive to the shaping process. The teeth are then usually covered with metal castings that fit into the overdenture or implats that will hold as snapping way.

Root canal treatment is used to save teeth which wouldotherwise need to be removed.  It isneeded when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (known as the pulp) isinfected through decay or injury.

A

root canalis a treatment used to repair and save a

tooththat is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a rootcanal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth iscleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will becomeinfected and abscesses may form.

Scaling is basically the process of removing dental tartar from the surfaces of the teeth

Scaling and Root Planing

Scaling and Root Planing - Dental Bio EstheticsScaling and Root Planing - Dental Bio Esthetics

scaling procedures "include the removal of plaque, calculus and stain from the crown and root surfaces of teeth. Root planing is a specialized skill involving scaling of the root of the tooth, made up of cementum. Because cementum is softer than enamel, it is affected more by ongoing build-up and inflammatory byproducts. A smooth cementum provides less opportunity for bacteria to accumulate and form calculus, so root planing is an important part of stopping progression of periodontal disease, especially once deeper pockets have formed in the gums, which is really in the bone. Thus root planing is a specific treatment that removes the roughened cementum and surface dentin that is impregnated with calculus, microorganisms and their toxins.

Veneers

Veneers - Dental Bio EstheticsVeneers - Dental Bio Esthetics

Veneer is a thin layer of restorative material placed over a tooth surface, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth, or to protect a damaged tooth surface. There are two main types of material used to fabricate a veneer, composite and dental porcelain A dentist may use one veneer to restore a single tooth that may have been fractured or discolored, or multiple teeth to create a "Hollywood" type of makeover. Many people have small teeth resulting in spaces that may not be easily closed by orthodontics. Some people have worn away the edges of their teeth resulting in a prematurely aged appearance, while others may have malpositioned teeth that appear crooked. Multiple veneers can close these spaces, lengthen teeth that have been shortened by wear, fill the black triangles between teeth caused by gum recession, provide a uniform color, shape, and symmetry, and make the teeth appear straight.

Composite Veneers

Biological Dentistry is more health focused; it is focused on the level of health people want and the choices they make that will move them toward that level of health Biological Dentistry can be categorized as conscious dentistry, concerned with treatment and therapies that cause the least disturbance to the immune system seeking the least toxic reparative and restorative materials for each patient’s dental work, Biological Dentists use materials reactivity tested.
