Why dental X-rays are performed Dental X-rays are typically performed yearly. They can happen more often if your dentist is tracking the progress of a dental problem or treatment. Factors affecting how often you get dental X-rays may include: your ageyour current oral healthany symptoms of oral diseasea history of gum infection or tooth decayIf you ’re a new patient, you’ ll probably undergo dental X-rays so that your new dentist can get a clear picture of your dental health. This is especially important if you don’ t have any X-rays from your previous dentist.
Root Canals €399 - €599
Our dentists can perform root canal treatment to stop the infection from spreading and will preserve as much of your tooth as possible. Using specific techniques and advanced equipment, you will receive a local anaesthetic and the treatment overall should feel no different to having an ordinary filling placed. The aim of the treatment is to remove all infection from the root canal. The root is then cleaned and filled to prevent any further infection. A temporary filling is put in and the tooth is left to settle. The tooth is checked at a later visit and when all the infection has cleared, the tooth is permanently filled. Root canal treatment is a skilled and time-consuming procedure and most courses of treatment will involve two or more visits.  To keep your mouth in tip top shape we recommend you come in for regular hygiene appointments and dental check-ups. Is it painful?Today root canal treatment is as comfortable as getting a filling. With advanced local anaesthesia options and techniques it shouldn’t be painful.  Although pain can be experienced, this is because of the infection in the tooth. Pain isn’t caused by the root canal treatment. I’m not feeling any pain, so I don’t need a root canal treatment.Your dentist will see and advise you if the pulp of your teeth is damaged or infected. If this is the case you will need root canal treatment. You may end up with the teeth needed to be extracted.
Teeth Whitening from €79
Laser Teeth Whitening is the most usual method of tooth whitening. Your dentist will be able to tell you if you are suitable for the treatment. Using a mouthpiece all of your teeth would be exposed to make it easier for the gel and light to work. After this a whitening gel will be applied to your teeth. Then a light or laser is shone on the teeth to activate the chemical. The light speeds up the reaction of the whitening product and the colour change can be achieved more quickly.

I was very impressed and will not hesitate to recommend them to all my friends and familyTom, Ireland, 02 08 22

Hi. I had a tooth extraction carried out last Friday in the Square Dental and I can honestly say that the two ladies (Receptionist and Dentist were most professional and yet at the same were very friendly an most informative). Like a lot of people I am not very comfortable when it comes to dentistry but these 2 ladies made feel very much at ease and the extraction was carried out in no time and with no fuss or pain. I was very impressed and will not hesitate to recommend them to all my friends and family. Thank you again, Tom- Old Bawn.
