I am very pleased. Dr. Wiese did wonderful work! He was gentle, honest and demonstrated that he knew what he was doing. He showed me pictures of his anterior cases and I was definitely motivated by the beautiful porcelain work that he does.

Dental Crowns
A fixed appliance that replaces missing teeth, made up of false teeth which are supported by an anchor teeth (abutement). Parts are:abutement, anchor and pontic. Abutement (remaining part of tooth, restored root or implant) supports the replacement. Anchor attaches the bridge to the abutement. Pontic is the part of the bridge that replaces the missing teeth. Preparation of bridges requires at least two appointments. On the first appointment the compromised teeth are prepared, impressions are made and temporary replacements are placed on the teeth in order to save them and for esthetic reasons. After approx. 5 weekdays the final appliance is checked for fit and bite.

Dental Implants
A root canal treatment means that the dentist removes the cause to the pain, for example caries, if possible. There after the pulp is removed the canals cleaned and filled with again. The most common filling material is "Gutta-percha", a material similar to rubber that is cemented inside the canal. Finally a fillings or crown is made to replace the lost part of the tooth. The treatment is executed with usual anaesthetic and should be pain free. If the pulp is dead normally no anaesthetic is needed.

Fillings
IIf your tooth is damaged but not lost, a crown can be used to cover the damaged part of your tooth. A crown protects your tooth from further damage. Crowns can be made of different kinds of metals, porcelain (ceramic) or porcelain fused to metal. They are strong and last for about 10 years, if you take good care of them. The process for getting your new dental crown or bridges is easy. It requires 5-8 days. An all-ceramic dental crown is simply the best in the esthetic plan, you don’t show a grey line at their base near your gums because it is metal-free and biocompatible. All-ceramic dental crowns typically have the most realistic appearance, although they tend to be less durable than other materials. Crowns can whiten, reshape, and realign existing teeth, adding to a healthy and vibrant smile. Moreover, all-ceramic dental crowns are metal-free, biocompatible and non-allergenic materials.

A dental implant is made of titanium and shaped like a screw. The dental implant is placed into the jawbone and serves as a secure root for the new tooth. Once the dental implant is in place, several different types of dental restorations, such as crowns, bridges or dentures, can be attached.

Root canals
A dental implant is a titanium metal rod which is placed into the jawbone. It is used to support one or more false teeth. In practice, both the false teeth and their supporting rod are known as ‘implants’. Implants are a well-established, tried-and-tested treatment. 90 per cent of modern implants last for at least 15 years. Your dentist will arrange for a number of special tests to assess the amount of bone still there. If there is not enough, or if it isn’t healthy enough, it may not be possible to place implants without grafting bone into the area first. Placing the implants requires a small operation. This can be carried out under local anaesthetic with sedation or with a general anaesthetic. You will not feel any pain at the time, but you may feel some discomfort during the week following the surgery. This is usually due to having stitches in place, and the normal healing process. Usually the permanent teeth are fitted 6 – 9 months after the implants are put in.

Veneers
A dental implant is a small cylinder of titanium, which is placed in the bone of either jaw, to provide a permanent foundation for a crown, bridge or precision denture. An implant becomes a part of you. The body accepts titanium, like no other metal and because of this, your dental implant is a truly long term, predictable way to replace missing teeth. A dental crown or dental bridge, secured to a dental implant, provides a complete and beautiful solution for improving your smile.
