I had a blepharoplasty procedure in July 2026. It was something I'd thought about for some time, and as this was my first cosmetic surgery, I wanted to find someone who I felt listened to my needs and would advise accordingly. Upon meeting Dr Valdodaria, after the initial nerves, I felt relaxed and confident I had found the right surgeon. We sat and discussed what I wanted, what to expect, and to be realistic about results, and at no time did I feel pressured; in fact, quite the opposite. He ran through everything, and after that meeting I decided to go ahead with my procedure, which was booked a few weeks in advance due to my work commitments. At the time of booking, I paid a deposit and had various forms to fill out, including my GP details and medical history. I know he checked on this, as I received a message from my surgery after asking if I would give permission to view my records; this also made me feel confident, knowing that he was actually checking and not just 'pretending' like some clinics. A few days prior to my procedure, I received emails to clarify what to expect and advise me on getting some products to use before and after to optimise my results. On the morning I arrived around 8.00ish, met Dr. Valdodaria and his team, who were wonderful at putting me at ease once in theatre. The whole procedure was over in less than an hour with virtually zero pain, bar the injection to numb the area prior to operating. Really surprised how quick and efficient everything was, and everything looked extremely clean and sterile. The aftercare was simple, and I had zero pain, which was a lovely surprise. The first week I was fairly swollen and bruised, but by week 2 hardly anything was noticeable except a slightly darker line, which in time will fade. Mini Facelift I’ve got my face back! I am so glad I found Professor Mahajan! For a long time, I’d been very unhappy about the way my face had dropped, the jowls that had formed, the ‘pouch’ of saggy skin under my chin and the deep nasolabial folds and marionette lines that had become deeper and deeper over the years. I’m 71 years old, but I feel decades younger. I’m lucky enough to be healthy, fit and active, but my face didn’t reflect this. I wanted to have something done to try to improve all of these things, but I didn’t want to undergo a general anaesthetic in order to achieve it. Towards the end of last year, I started researching the possibility of facelifts using local anaesthetic. I found that not only is it possible but various surgeons have now started to offer this. By far the stand-out surgeon for me was Professor Mahajan. The before and after photos are amazing and the 5* reviews across the board made me start to think seriously about taking the plunge. So earlier this year, I booked a consultation and travelled up from Hertfordshire to see Prof. Mahajan. He explained in detail the procedure and suggested liposuction for the area beneath my jaw and chin. He then advised me to go away and think about things before making my decision but I knew by the end of the consultation that I was going to go ahead with the surgery. A few weeks later, I was back ‘up north’ and being welcomed by the lovely staff at Evolve Medical and after my blood pressure was taken and final checks were completed, I was taken into the theatre. Prof Mahajan and his lovely assistant Jay were very professional and reassuring and checked with me regularly that I was doing ok. I was – throughout the whole procedure. Music was playing, and we were chatting the whole time. When the surgery was over, I sat up and was handed a mirror – and WOW!! I have a beautifully defined jawline; the jowls have gone, the saggy ‘pouch’ under my chin, and the marionette lines have gone. The deep nasolabial folds are now soft and natural. My neck is taut and no longer lined and crepey. The droopy, bloodhound, miserable-looking face I had has now gone, and I couldn’t be more delighted. It’s now been four months since my surgery and I’m still amazed at the difference in my face. It’s made me feel more confident in myself, and I feel I’m holding my head high and my back straight when I’m out and about walking and at the dance classes I attend. I can’t thank Prof. Mahajan enough – I’m so glad I found him. He’s an absolute expert in his field, and I would recommend him to anyone. So, if, like me, you are considering taking the plunge, do it! Mr Liddington carried out a Lower Face Lift on me this time last year. The results are amazing and feel much more confident, so glad I had it done under Mr Liddington. Studied Surgeons, waited a while for an appointment but it was all worth it. Couldn't thank him and his team enough.
