It provides a range of inpatient, outpatient and day-case specialties including plastic surgery, orthopaedic, spinal, urology, ear nose and throat and general surgery, for routine and complex cases. Biography:

Mr Anil Agarwal completed a Plastic Surgery training programme at PGI Chandigarh, India, followed by a 2-year Hand Fellowship. Armed with sound basic principles but a view to obtaining outstanding practical results, he trained further at the best Units all over the UK. These included Breast surgery at Manchester, and Hand Surgery at Chelmsford and East Grinstead.

During this quest for excellence he published extensively, completed the FRCS (Glasgow), the FRCS (Plast) and 2 Diplomas (British and European) in Hand Surgery. He has been an NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 2008 and currently practices at the Royal Preston Hospital. He loves drawing and regards Aesthetic Surgery as living sculpture.

Mr Agarwal strongly believes in clearly defining the problem and visualising the ideal solution. He provides an initial detailed consultation, listening carefully to the patient’s viewpoint, and will then explain what can and cannot be achieved using today’s state of the art. He employs hand sketches, photographs and computer-art until the end result can be clearly seen and agreed upon by both patient and surgeon. He believes his results should speak for themselves and takes pride in complete patient satisfaction.

Biography:

Mr Sohail Akhtar is a fully registered Consultant Plastic Surgeon who has a specialist interest in cosmetic surgery. He performs a wide range of surgical procedures to improve the appearance of the breast, abdomen and face with procedures such as eye bag removal, breast enlargement, tummy tuck and liposuction.

He finds that cosmetic surgery does not only improve outward appearance but more importantly improve an individual’s self-esteem and confidence. Mr Akhtar’s aim is to deliver a high quality service with an emphasis not only on great results but also a great patient journey. In his view 'The experience is just as important as the result'.

Mr Akhtar qualified from Liverpool University in 1996. During his medical school training he was inspired to follow a career in surgery after gaining an elective placement in London with Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub the pioneering cardiac transplant surgeon. 

After graduation from medical school he embarked on surgical training and was awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons. Following this he started specialisation in Plastic Surgery and on completion was awarded the title of a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery.

Mr Akhtar started as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Durham where he had the opportunity to develop his interest in cosmetic surgery. He subsequently moved to Wrightington Hospital where he performs a broad range of plastic surgery procedures such as soft tissue reconstruction and scar treatment. In his private practice Mr Akhtar performs a wide variety of cosmetic procedures.

As regards his academic career he is well published with at present over 30-peer review publication in the medical literature and has presented at multiple international scientific meetings. He has also written textbook chapters in plastic surgery.

Outside of UK medicine Mr Akhtar is involved with charitable medical aid work delivering care to those with little or no resources in developing countries. This includes personally going on charitable missions to Sierra Leone as part of a team sent by Wrightington Hospital to provide surgical treatments in the worlds 3rd poorest nation. He also provided emergency surgical relief aid by travelling to Pakistan during the 2005 Earthquake disaster, where over 80,000 people lost their lives.

Mr Ahmed Abd El Gawad is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon who currently works at The Royal Liverpool Hospital. He has developed solid experience in plastic surgery over more than two decades. He specialised in cosmetic facial surgery, body contouring after massive weight loss, and breast surgery.

He is on the General Medical Council specialist register as a Plastic Surgeon. He is also a full member of both the renowned British Association of Plastic surgeons and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic surgeons (BAAPS). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (RCSEd) and the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS).

Mr Abd El Gawad has been elected as a reviewer for a number of international journals. Journal editorial boards rely on him to carefully assess and select the outstanding research from his field of expertise. He has numerous publications in the peer reviewed international journals. In addition, he is regularly invited to speak at international conferences as well as meetings to teach and share his vast experience. He is passionate about the delivery of exceptional care to his patients.

Biography:

Mr Kenneth Graham received his basic medical degree of MBBS in Nigeria in 1977 and then carried out his basic surgical training in England in 1985. He started his burns and plastic surgery training in 1989 and became a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Regional Plastic Surgery and Burn Unit, Whiston Hospital in 1999.

Mr Graham was Clinical Director for plastic surgery at Whiston hospital from 2005 - 2009. He was a tutor for plastic surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons from 2011 - 2013. He was also a member of The British Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeons council from 2011 - 2013. Currently he is Course Director for plastic surgery skills training.

Irfan

Mr Irfan Khan qualified from King Edward Medical College, Pakistan, in 1986. He has more than twenty one years experience of working in plastic surgery in the UK, the last nine years as a consultant. He is an NHS consultant in hand and plastic surgery and appears on the specialist register of the General Medical Council. He also holds the specialist FRCS (plastic surgery) qualification.

During his training Mr Khan has completed fellowships in aesthetic, microsurgery and hand surgery. He trained in some of the best units in the UK including Billericay, Chelmsford, Leeds, Glasgow, Preston and Liverpool. He did his aesthetic fellowship in the North West and has completed numerous courses, attended meetings and seen senior surgeons operate to further enhance his experience. He has had a busy private practice since 2008.

Mr Khan takes a keen interest in training junior plastic surgeons and is currently training programme director in the Mersey area.

Mr Sofiane Rimouce is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeon. He is the Education Lead for Plastic Surgery for Health Education Northwest England, covering both Cheshire and Lancashire. He is also a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Rimouche is on the specialist register of Plastic Surgery of The General Medical Council. He graduated from Nottingham University and undertook his plastic surgery training in the Northwest of England with specialist fellowships in cancer reconstruction and skin surgery. He has also undertaken a specialist national fellowship in cosmetic surgery. 

Mr Rimouche has published in various leading plastic surgery journals and has also presented his research projects at both national and international level. He has, and continues to, contribute to and attend local, national and international plastic surgery and cosmetic education events, courses and meetings.

Mr Rimouche has contributed to a number of national plastic surgery initiatives, working alongside the Department of Health and the various national plastic surgery bodies.

Mr Rimouche has an interest in aesthetic and cosmetic rejuvenation, both surgical and non-surgical, in addition to regenerative medicine and surgery. He believes in combination treatments to achieve the desired result.
