AKM Clinic

Born in Azerbaijan in 1983, Dr. Akif Mehmetoğlu attended Bursa Işıklar Military High School from 1997 to 2001 and continued his studies at the Military Academy from 2001 to 2005. He earned his medical degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (2006-2012), where he later completed his specialization in Skin and Venereal Diseases in 2016.

Dr. Mehmetoğlu has actively contributed to the global medical community through his participation in numerous prestigious international congresses, including:

- International Master Course on Aging Science (IMCAS) in Paris (2022)

- The 15th Annual Vegas Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetic Dermatology in Las Vegas (2019)

- International Master Course on Aging Science (IMCAS) in Paris (2018)

- World Congress on Liposuction in Chicago (2017)

He is a fellow member of both the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and and is board-certified by the Turkish Dermatology Association. Dr. Mehmetoğlu’s research and clinical interests include dermatosurgery, skin cancer surgery, non-surgical aesthetic procedures, laser liposuction (lipolysis), body contouring, and hair transplant.

Currently, Dr. Mehmetoğlu leads the surgical team at AKM Clinic, where he continues to apply his expertise in advanced dermatological and aesthetic procedures.

Dr. Göknil Gültekin is a European Board Certified Otorhinolaryngologist and Head & Neck Surgeon with advanced expertise in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. She completed her fellowship at the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (2024), focusing on rhinoplasty, facelift, and minimally invasive rejuvenation techniques.

She is currently a member of AKM Clinic team in Istanbul, she specializes in rhinoplasty, deep plane and endoscopic facelift, brow lift, lip lift, blepharoplasty, and facial cosmetic injections. She also performs non-surgical rejuvenation, including dermal fillers, and CO2 fractional laser treatments.

Dr. Gültekin previously served as an ENT surgeon at Kars Harakani State Hospital (2023–2024) and completed her residency at Başkent University, Department of ENT–Head & Neck Surgery (2018–2023). She began her medical career at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty (English Program, 2011–2017) and gained international experience as a visiting fellow at Harvard Medical School – Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (2013–2014).
