Dr. Afet is wonderful! I had a number of treatments with her including surgical scar revisions of old scars, facial filler treatments and jaw muscle relaxants, and every time it was a great experience with beautiful results. Her work is exceptional and she is very detail oriented. What also makes a difference is that Dr. Afet is very patient, professional and extraordinarily thorough. Her assistant and the whole team are courteous and friendly, speak very good English and make you feel well taken care of. I highly recommend Dr. Afet if you are looking for someone who is skilled, thorough and professional.

I was referred to AKL Poliklinigi Clinic as I was told they were world renowned for hair transplant procedures. When I reached out for more information, I received an immediate response from my future Patient Advocate, Ali. He was very informative and kept in contact with me from this point forward and currently still does while I am in recovery. From the moment I arrived at the clinic I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and Ali - I believe this set the tone for my entire visit. I came here to have a much desired hair transplant procedure. Ali met me downstairs and escorted me around the facility and was quite a good translator. He kept me informed of what all the medical staff were saying so I never had a question what they were talking about. All medical staff were professional, organized, knowledgeable, and patient with me even with the language differences. I felt I could fully trust my health and well-being were in caring hands. Through the various rooms I went into I noticed not only was this a state of the art facility, but it was very clean and sanitary as well, which is extremely important to me. The doctors were very meticulous, and did an excellent job - they are true artists. My aftercare was amazing - I cannot say enough about this. I believe the after care recovery is just as important as the procedure itself. I was provided medications with detailed instructions, and how to take care of my procedure post op areas once I flew back home. I am more than happy with my procedure and my results are looking good. Though I am still not fully recovered I can already see what it will look like. I have since referred many colleagues, friends and family, and would definitely choose to come back to AKL Poliklinigi Clinic for any further cosmetic needs. During the process of finding a suitable surgeon for a cat eye and temporal/cheek lift I came across Dr Hakan as I was impressed with the results he could achieve on his clients. I decided to have a 3D simulation and consultation to meet virtually with Dr Hakan and also a visual representation of what my results could look like. From the very beginning, I felt comfortable with the doctor. He was very friendly, attentive and thorough in making sure he understood my concerns and expectations. He speaks very good English so communication was very easy. He answered all of my questions during this consultation as well as showing me two potential results via the simulator which made it easier to envision the end result. The deciding factor for me was the fact that Dr Hakan only performs one surgery a day so he can focus solely on each patient as a case rather than other surgeons who do 10+ surgeries a day. I decided to go ahead and book the surgery a couple months after our online consultation. We had another consultation face to face a day prior to the procedure where we went through everything again including details of the op, any incisions, risks and recovery. Again I felt Dr Hakan understood my needs as well as give his own expertise advice. The day of the operation i was welcomed into a clean professional hospital where I would be staying for the night following the operation as well as having my own private nurse who stayed in the room with me to attend to my needs. The staff at the hospital were also lovely and accommodating as well as being highly competent at their jobs. I was regularly monitored throughout my hospital stay and was not discharged until the doctor/staff were fully happy with my observations. I stayed a week in Turkey after my operation and I saw Dr Hakan twice for follow ups as well as staying in regular contact with both the Dr and his wonderful assistant Burhan. It has now been 6 weeks since my procedure and I am already loving the results. Dr Hakan did exactly what I wanted and although the initial recovery was intense , the whole experience has made everything a lot easier and stress free. I have not had any complications and I’m on the road to a smooth sailing recovery. I can contact Dr Hakan at anytime if I have any concerns and I have recently had my one-month follow-up. I would 10000x recommend Dr Hakan as not only is he very knowledgeable and experienced but he is also a very warm and friendly person who makes you feel instantly at ease . I am hesitant to show my pictures on the internet but the results are insane and I’m happy for him to share them with any future clients. Sorry for such a long review but I wanted to write a detailed account of my pleasant experience with this doctor and his team.
