I am happy with the results of the surgery for gynecomastia. This is why I still give 4 stars. Their pricing is pretty competitive compared to other options too. That being said, I have feedback. I had some complications with the medical vest, where I was suffering from a rash (not their fault) but at first, communication on trying to figure out how to remedy this wasn't great. I was suffering while waiting to hear back from the surgeon (who asked me to message him on Instagram if any issues arise) where I had to take matters into my own hands and go to a pharmacy instead. I imagine this is because their doctors are so busy they can't always get back to their patients in a timely manner. This leads me to my main critique of Vanity: Communication. It is very often last, where you are constantly wondering when you are being picked up, when your appointment is, pick up times also change with very short notice (three separate times I was told one day/time, and then it changed to something else), which makes it difficult to plan your day. I would have liked for more of the communication to be proactive, without me having to contact the people assigned to me (Mohi and Güven), asking when things are happening. The surgeon would also give me different information from what the representatives said, which left me never knowing quite what to believe. When I arrived in Istanbul, it was a Sunday and I was never told I was getting picked up from the airport. They actually made it seem like it wasn't happening because, indeed, it was a Sunday. Don't get me wrong, it was nice that they took me to my hotel that day but I didn't find this out until after my flight had arrived, which left me stunned as I was in the middle of looking at alternative ways to get to my hotel, only to receive a sudden call saying that a driver was waiting for me. No one told me that would be happening. Not a bad experience overall, as everyone was very kind and the surgery itself was successful; it just felt a bit disorganised. The big takeaway here for management is to create the schedules farther in advance and have your representatives tell patients more than 24 hours in advance of what their accurate appointment times are.

As you can imagine, travelling to a foreign country for a full mummy makeover was a little bit scary at first. However, from start to finish, my experience has been absolutely amazing. I first met Dr. Samet Sendur at his London clinic, and he immediately made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision. He is a highly skilled surgeon with an excellent bedside manner. I stayed for eight nights, and both the hotel and nursing staff were incredible. The nurses came in four times a day and were available 24 hours if I needed anything. The hospital where I had my procedure was modern, very clean, and reassuringly professional. Since returning home, I’ve stayed in constant contact with the nurse team to discuss my progress, which has given me great peace of mind. I also have a follow-up appointment with Dr. Sam in December at his London clinic. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the care, support, and results so far. My experience has been outstanding from beginning to end.
