Prof. Dr. Sinan ÖKSÜZ graduated from Ankara GATA (Gülhane Military Medical Academy) Faculty of Medicine as a Medical Doctor and Air Medical Lieutenant. He started his
Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery
residency at Istanbul GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital.
In 2010, he received basic and advanced microsurgery training at Columbia University in New York, USA. In 2011, he participated in the basic maxillofacial-orthognathic surgery training program of the international AOCMF organization based in Switzerland. He completed the advanced facial and jaw surgery - orthognathic surgery training program organized by the AOCMF in Hong Kong.
After completing his residency, he worked as an attending plastic surgeon at Istanbul GATA Haydarpaşa Plastic Surgery Clinic.
He worked as a 'postdoctoral fellow' in the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in the United States in 2013-2014.
He was awarded the title of associate professor by successfully completing the scientific publication, file evaluation and oral exams in 2017 and
he was appointed as an associate professor at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Gülhane Medical Faculty, University of Health Sciences.
He received his professor title in 2022 at the SBU Gülhane Faculty of Medicine. Between 2017 and 2025, he served as the Head of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. M
ore than 100 scientific studies he has conducted in Turkey and abroad have been published as articles in respected medical journals. He has more than 200 papers presented and published in national and international congresses.
He is a member of the Turkish Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association (TPRECD), Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Turkish Reconstructive Microsurgery Association (TRMCD). He organized microsurgery courses at regular intervals. He serves as an instructor and speaker in national and international meetings and in the educational activities of the Turkish Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association.
Prof. Dr. Sinan ÖKSÜZ is a Board Member of the Turkish Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association. He accepts patients in his own private clinic as a freelance physician.
