Vein Solutions - Medical Aesthetics Clinic in the UK

Vein Solutions

Wrexham Road, Cheshire, CH4 9DE
Vein Solutions is a world class, multi speciality vascular treatment clinic, offering a comprehensive range of varicose vein treatment options encompassing both minimally-invasive techniques and conventional vascular surgical procedures to eradicate varicose veins. Endovenous ablation techniques have expanded the minimally invasive options for patients requiring treatment for varicose veins. As a full-service varicose vein treatment clinic, we offer patients a range of options from simple advice to less-invasive surgical approach.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy for the treatment of varicose veins involves the use of a sclerosant (a substance which seals up blood vessels when injected) and has been used for many years to treat small varicose veins. Over recent years a technique has been developed which allows sclerotherapy to be used to treat larger varicose veins (up to 1cm in diameter). This involves mixing the sclerosant with air bubbles to create a foam. Local anaesthesia is used to numb the skin and using ultrasound scanning, a small amount of foam is injected into the vein being treated. Following the procedure a bandage and stocking are sited on the leg which need to remain in place for around 1 week. The stocking should be worn for a further week after the bandage is removed. Some patients require a second injection for residual veins after a period of 3 to 4 weeks. Most patients are able to return to their normal routine immediately following foam sclerotherapy treatment for varicose veins. Complications are unusual but include bruising or discomfort around the needle site, phlebitis, a small area of skin discoloration overlying the vein and rarely, ulceration. We are situated in the North West, in the city of Chester. Many of our patients come to us from Liverpool, Manchester, the Wirral, St Helens, Stockport, Warrington and North Wales. We are happy to help anyone that lives outside of these areas too!

Facial Thread Veins Treatment
Thread veins occur as a result of problems in the circulatory system. Healthy veins continually direct blood towards the heart through a series of one-way valves. Occasionally, these valves may break down or malfunction, allowing blood to pool in the vein. This causes the vein to bulge and twist until it becomes noticeable on the surface of the skin. While there is no one sure cause of thread veins, several lifestyle and biological factors may contribute to them: Drinking alcohol excessively Smoking Trauma to the skin or extremities Excessive temperature changes Hormonal changes due to pregnancy or menopause Normal ageing Genetic predisposition
Hyperhidrosis from £350
Sweating is a normal and essential bodily function that helps to keep your body cool. Exercise and high temperatures can cause your body to heat up. When this happens, the millions of sweat glands in your body spring into action and produce perspiration which leaves your body through the pores on your skin. This sweat evaporates on your skin which cools you down. If you find that you sweat all the time, even when not exercising or in high temperatures, then it’s likely that you’re suffering with hyperhidrosis. This condition, also known as excessive sweating, can be traumatic and disruptive to your daily activities or routine. Any of the following in conjunction with a higher than normal level of perspiration, could indicate hyperhidrosis: Avoiding physical contact because you are self-conscious about your sweating Not participating in exercise, or energetic activities, because you’re worried about an increase in your sweating Your sweating is making your job difficult, for example if you’re struggling to hold tools Normal activities, like driving, are difficult because you’re sweating You’re spending a lot of time changing your clothes, reapplying antiperspirant You’re becoming overly self-conscious and less social because of your sweating There are two types of hyperhidrosis, determined by what is seen to be the cause of the sweating.

Facial Thread Veins Treatment £35 - £120
Facial thread veins or broken red veins (telangiectasia) are small unsightly superficial red, purple or blue veins which appear around the nose and across the cheeks and chin. These broken veins occur when the veins dilate and become larger so they are visible through the transparency of the skin. Although facial veins or spider veins are quite common they can cause some distress and embarrassment for those who have them. Facial veins may be hereditary or as a result of a variety of factors including damage from sun exposure, wind and extremes of temperature. The exact cause is often unknown and may just be part of the natural ageing process or can due to the skin condition Rosacea. How does IPL work for Thread Veins? When treating thread veins, the light is absorbed by the oxyhaemoglobin in the blood within the vein, causing the blood to coagulate and the thread vein to break up into particles that can be filtered away naturally through the lymphatic system in your body. How many treatments are necessary? The number of treatments required is very individual as response to treatments varies from person to person. This can be discussed prior to treatment during a consultation.

Sclerotherapy
Injection microsclerotherapy is a treatment for spider veins which involves injecting a chemical substance called “sclerosant” using fine needles. The sclerosant irritates the inner wall of the veins and causes them to become inflamed; the vein walls then stick together and the vein disappears. The sclerosant used is sodium tetradecyl sulphate or “fibro-vein”, which has been used in the treatment of varicose and spider veins since 1946.

Pigmentation Treatment
At the Manchester Vein Clinic we provide a large range of cosmetic laser treatments for your skin. Our clinical practitioners use the most cutting edge tried and tested laser technology north of London. We provide tailor made treatments, that suit you to get the best outcome for your skin at an affordable price. Most common pigmented lesions are freckles, age spots and liver spots. They normally contain very high concentrations of melanin (pigment) and can be caused by too much sun, ageing, genetics or injury. The green light from the Dual Yellow laser targets the melanin, which is the principal component in the lesion. You will see immediate change and in some cases, the lesion will darken slightly, which is perfectly normal. The pigment will then gradually come away over the following week. This method causes no damage to surrounding tissue and you avoid invasive procedures such as surgical removal or freezing.

Dr Conlons Aesthetic Clinics - Medical Aesthetics Clinic in the UK

Dr Conlon's Aesthetic Clinics

300 Bramhall Lane, Manchester, SK73DJ
The Aesthetic Clinic is my passion and I aim to make all clients feel confident and happy about their appearance by providing permanent solutions using cutting edge clinical treatments. Professionalism, skill and dedication are reflected in my results and continued professional training ensures the treatments offered are at the cutting edge of non-surgical aesthetics. A full consultation will be carried out before any treatment takes place along with a follow-up appointment. I had a great start in aesthetics training in Microsclerotherapy under Mark Whiteley at The Whiteley Clinic, Guilford, which gave me the inspiration and confidence to start my own aesthetic clinic. Since then I have trained and developed expertise in Dermaroller, anti-wrinkle injections, Dermal Fillers and PDO thread lifting. I graduated as a doctor from the University of Edinburgh Medical School in 2003 and began anaesthetic and aesthetic training in 2006. I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2010 and am currently a Consultant Anaesthetist at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Anaesthetic skills naturally compliment the skills required to be an aesthetic clinician and I believe being a doctor expertly trained in this field provides comfort and reassurance to my clients.
