My partner and I both went in the same day for the gastric sleeve surgery, from the moment we were picked up on the bus (which did reek of cigarette smoke, and burnt my eyes) to the moment we were dropped off back to the hotel, we had an amazing experience and felt very safe and confident in the staffs ability to perform so professionally. We were both in the same room for after surgery and went through the healing process together! And I’ll be honest the first 2 days I regretted my decision big time! But once you make it through the first 2 days it’s only going to get better! Walk walk walk is key to the gas pain! Originally we were planning to have surgery in Australia but when we did the numbers we could have a 14 day holiday plus both have the sleeve for less than the price for just 1 of us to have the surgery in Australia! Financially it was a no brainer! I also have to applaud the clinic on how organised they were with medication, pain control and explaining what we needed to do and what medications were needed to take at what point of the recovery! Australia does none of that! The weekly, fortnightly, monthly what’s app check ins and diet change info was also top notch! And if you worried about the language barrier there is a lot of English speaking staff around always! 10/10 from us! We flew back to Australia 5 days post op! And have fully recovered since surgery in early October!
