In this process, he has successfully performed more than 4000 Bariatric and more than 3000 Metabolic surgeries. He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and completed his General Surgery Specialization training in Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital in 2006. In 2010, he started to work as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Surgery at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, and in 2015, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor of General Surgery by successfully passing the exam held by the inter-university board. He accompanied or performed more than 2500 advanced laparoscopic bariatric and metabolic surgery, laparoscopic cancer surgery, breast cancer surgery operations between 2010-2015. Since 2018, he has been working at Istanbul Private Etiler Hospital under the Metabolic Surgery Foundation and started working with Prof. Dr. Alper Çelik. In this process, he accompanied more than 2000 advanced laparoscopic metabolic and bariatric surgery operations, and performed more than 3000 operations. He has more than 100 foreign and international publications, book chapter authorship, book chapter translator, over 100 posters and oral presentations presented at international and domestic meetings. Gastric bypass surgery is one of the most common bariatric surgical procedures. The most frequent kind of combination surgery is a laparoscopic gastric bypass (R-YGB). Gastric bypass surgery is one of the treatments that has gained recognition due to its favorable outcomes in bariatric surgery. While the stomach capacity is lowered with this procedure, nutritional absorption is reduced because the distance taken in the small intestine is shorter. In the first step, this operation disables 90% of the stomach in the morbidly obese (deadly condition) patient. The remaining 10% of the stomach is roughly the size of a “cup,” and it is 130-150 cm ahead of the small intestine (which is 600cm long on average) with the second motion (60-80% of sugar and fat are absorbed from this region, and the objective is to eliminate sugar and fat).
Gastric Band  
In the Adjustable Gastric Band, popularly known as the stomach clamp method, a band made of silicone is placed around the stomach, approximately 20 mm below the junction of the esophagus and the stomach. The inner wall of the band is like an elongated balloon or bicycle tire. This balloon is connected to a port placed under the skin via a thin tube. The Adjustable Gastric Band is left deflated during the surgery but is gradually inflated approximately one month later with serum injections from the subcutaneous port. In this way, the size of the gastric passage can change with a simple intervention after the surgery.
