🌟 Review for Dr. Murat Üstün, his assistant Maya, and Memorial Clinic 🌟 I had my bariatric surgery at Memorial Clinic with Dr. Murat Üstün, and it was an experience that showed me what true professionalism, humanity, and heartfelt care for a patient really look like. Just 15 minutes with Dr. Murat Üstün is enough to understand what kind of person and doctor he is — you immediately feel a sense of strength, calm, and complete trust. You stop thinking about risks and simply feel safe enough to close your eyes and let go. Now I lovingly refer to him as “my Üstün.” He’s not only incredibly skilled and competent, but also deeply compassionate — he truly cares about his patients’ emotions and inner peace. When I was taken into the operating room, he asked me what kind of music I liked. He played that music, we took a photo together, and the whole process started in such a warm, positive, and cheerful atmosphere that I instantly forgot about fear. We were talking, laughing… and I fell asleep so peacefully that I didn’t even notice when. On the third day after surgery, I had a bit of a psychological crisis — I felt weak and found it hard to walk, and I became emotional. That’s when Dr. Üstün told me a sentence I will never forget: “This is exactly what we wanted — your body is in shock because you stopped feeding it, and that’s exactly what both of us aimed for.” Those words calmed me instantly and gave me so much strength that the very next day I walked 6 kilometers. Not only that — during the following nine days, I walked all around Istanbul on foot! This kind of attitude — professionalism, empathy, and genuine humanity — gives a patient real hope and courage. P.S. I can’t help but mention that my doctor is not only the best of the best but also the most handsome! 😄 I also want to express my special gratitude to his assistant Maya — she was always by my side, took care of every detail, and supported me with her warmth and kindness. Maya, you are the definition of excellent service. I was just one patient out of a thousand, but you made me feel like I was the only one — and for that, I will always be grateful. And of course, this also shows my Üstün’s wisdom — that he chose you as his assistant. Memorial Clinic stands out with its cleanliness, organization, and genuine care for patients. I had gastric balloon 3 months ago. My BMI is too low gastric sleeve surgery. I researched and finally, I found this method and clinic bariatric. I had never been to turkey but clinic bariatric team was so helpful. They put a balloon in my stomach for 6 months. I already lost 12 kilos and I am still losing weight.

I flew from the UK 14/02/24 for loop bibartician, Faith the co ordinator was amazing from me querying to booking everything, didnt hesitate to answer any of my questions at all. The transfer was there ready and waiting, took us straight to the hospital. I was booked in and taken up to my room. The hospital, ward was absolutely spotless, me and my auntie was given a 3 course meal straight away at 9pm and I had to fast from midnight. I Cannot fault the care I had from start to finish, the nurses were exceptional and couldn't do enough, Doctor Bora is one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met, I saw him quite a lot throughout my stay during my pre-ops, surgery and post-surgery, the dietician was so lovely and went through my diet plans with me and even organised for me to have protein powder delivered to my room(£35 for 30 servings) The pre op tests were so thorough and the whole experience of going down to theatre on surgery day 16th was completely professional. Faith messaged me good luck for my operation and messaged to see how I was after. I cannot fault anything and my whole experience was way more than expected .. Im now 6 days post op and feeling so good cant wait to have my first weigh in tomorrow. No regrets at all .. Go for it!
