Heather (MA, MIAHIP, MIACP) is an accredited psychotherapist with 10 years experience, working with couples, adults and adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds. She works in a humanistic integrative way  focusing on the primacy of the therapeutic relationship. Her background in art and design has facilitated her in practicing in a creative way ensuring safety and sensitivity to all ages and favouring elements of gestalt and mindfulness to assist clients when necessary.     She provides long-term therapy to clients who have experienced childhood developmental trauma, eating disorders, CSA and clerical abuse. Alternatively, she provides short-term therapy for those engaging in EAP work. My professional journey began in Canada where I earned a degree in Psychology. Since then I have completed a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy as well as certificates in both Mindfulness and Art Therapy. I work with a number of different issues including: anxiety, depression, bullying, bereavements, postnatal depression, eating disorders and suicide. As well as my one on one client work I offer courses and workshops on a number of different subjects with a large focus on personal development and emotional awareness.  I believe that everyone can grow and evolve in a more positive way.
