Bowen Technique, also known as Bowen Therapy is a light touch physical therapy that works with the body's nervous system to encourage relaxation of muscles and connective tissue and realignment of joints. It does not involve any harsh jarring movement of joints. An-Mo is a Chinese bodywork method that was the precursor to Japanese Shiatsu, it works with higher pressure than Bowen and includes passive mobilisation and stretches. Somatic Education is a subtle way of improving how your nervous system controls your movements. Often due to poor posture, historic injuries or occupational wear and tear we tend to develop poor movement habits that can, over time, cause recurring pain and injuries. Somatic Education retrains our body to move correctly.
