Damon graduated from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, in 1997 with 1st Class Honours. He spent the first two years of his career working within the hospital system within a diverse range of medical specialisations including, orthopaedics, outpatients, intensive care, coronary care, brain injury rehabilitation, , geriatric and .
In 2001 Damon joined the Active Rehabilitation Team in Australia and provided musculoskeletal physiotherapy along with sports coverage for local to national level teams in soccer, rugby league and netball. In 2004 Damon worked for the prestigious Harley Street Physiotherapy in London, before accepting a position with the Premier League Football club, Sunderland AFC in 2005. Damon launched his successful private practice, My Sports Physiotherapy Clinic in 2006. Damon was recruited by the English Institute of Sport to work with Olympic athletes in the North East of England and provided elite to many Great Britain and English athletes in athletics, basketball, Olympic weight lifting, rowing, squash, badminton, tennis, sailing, triathlon, and swimming. Damon was called upon to look after elite Aussie athletes in athletics and triathlons during his time in the UK.
Damon is currently flying the flag for My Sports Physiotherapy in Australia where he has been working with the team at Active Rehabilitation Physiotherapy on a project to develop high level private physiotherapy clinics throughout the South-East of Queensland. Damon is very proud of the success of My Sports Physiotherapy and continues to play a role in the direction of the company.
