I had lens replacement. The hospital was so clean, the doctor was so polite, talked me through everything. He had to do tests, pre-op and operation. He never kept me waiting. His work was 10/10. The staff were lovely. I looked around for a bit to find the best eye surgeon in Turkey and believe me, I found him. His work was skilfully precise and bang on. If you want the best, trust me, go with Dr. Derda Saglik — he's the best. His ratings and reviews say it all for him, and now I’m saying it all firsthand. June 2023. I am so happy I decided to have a full tummy tuck and my eyelids done. Three months on I am starting to see real results. Many people have commented on how healthy I look, fresh-faced, younger, which is a real compliment at the age of 62. Jackie will answer all of your questions and is a huge support throughout the process. She will hold your hand if needs be. The doctor is very professional and will tell you exactly what needs doing or not. He knows what he is doing and it shows. In December 2024, I had a lens replacement performed at the Refractive Center in Prague. For several months, I had been researching both in Norway and other countries to find the best eye surgeons. I chose Dr. Petr Novak in Prague. I had regular email correspondence with the clinic( a lovely woman named Babora), who answered all my questions. We agreed on a date when I (and my husband, who also underwent lens replacement ) would come for an examination. I went through eye and health examination. The procedure was performed on Wednesday for one eye and Friday for the other eye. During both the pre-examinations and the surgeries, I felt very well taken care of. Now, two months later, I am a happy woman who can see and read even the smallest text without glasses. Absolutely fantastic! A huge thanks to Dr. Petr Novak and his team!

FemtoLASIK (LASIK with IntraLase) from US$960

The FemtoLASIK method is a superb modern technology of removal dioptres using two latest lasers: femtosecond laser iFS and excimer laser VISX STAR S4 IR, both from Johnson & Johnson, an American company. The ultra-fast femtosecond laser is used (using the principle of photo-disruption) to create a thin lamella on the cornea. The Laser beam is focused into one single point where energy is concentrated, and the tissue of the cornea immediately turns to gas (it literally evaporates). The lamella created in this way is more perfect and smoother than when an oscillating blade is used. The lamella in the cornea is then lifted to the side and using the effect of the excimer laser, the cornea is re-shaped into the required shape and curvature as a result of which the dioptre error is corrected. Once done, the lamella of the cornea is returned to its original position and the surgery is completed. We recommend this method specifically to patients with the following: Short-sightedness (lower, medium as well as higher)Far-sightedness (from +4,0 dioptres on)Relatively symmetrical astigmatism (up to +/−4,5 dioptres max.)Uncomplicated refractive error without significant asymmetry
