I took my mum to the Mater Hospital in Dublin for an extensive eye examination in March 2019, to find she had Macular degeneration in her eyes… After numerous visits to other opticians and to no avail she was getting nowhere. We went to a well-known branded optician and mum was given a new pair of glasses, to which in mums words “they went in the bin” as they never worked for her… So on to now….In September 2024 I took mum to C-True Opticians, in Virginia. Mums were given a full examination which was carried out with high standards of quality, professional & personal care… Catherine & the team were so supportive. The attention to detail in all areas, of mums examination, tests & choosing of mums glasses were superb… We went back to pick up mums glasses within a week. Mums fitting of her new glasses was emotional to say the least… Giving mum something to read, Matthew went through in full detail & very slowly explaining how mum should practise “Eccentric Viewing” & do some exercises at home. For the first time in 5 years, {yes 👏 that’s correct! “5 years”} Mum was able to read words, sentences, letters, numbers that previously was unattainable…She was emotional and overwhelmed. I myself had tears in my eyes to see that she was able to actually read writing on the page. This had not happened since 2019… I asked mum on the way home what she thought 💭 and she said her eyesight is now 70-80% better with these new glasses; yes mums dis-ease is still there - yet she has glasses now that has improved her eyesight and her life!!!! Thank you to ALL the wonderful staff at C-True….you’ve made my mums life better & much more than you realise Would I recommend C-True???
