2020 was supposed to be the the start of my journey at KCM Clinic for a full face & neck lift upper & lowers eye lids. Then covid hit us so I couldn’t go! Tried again that same year in August but for personal reasonings it wasn’t meant to be. Fast forward January 2025, I was at KCM Clinic on a Patients Group Trip ( a group of patients who travel together with a patient manager, in my case Kim ) I arrived with every expectation of having what I desired eventually! With the thorough examinations & diagnostic tests unfortunately I wasn’t able to have the surgery due to several factors. I was devastated! But i smoked, i had anemia , ( discovered via the post op tests when I arrived ) and i was on medication that made my hands swell twice the size. So , with another consultation with Dr Luniewska, she agreed to preform upper eyelid correction. I was happy to still be having something but grateful it was under local anaesthesia and I knew I wasn't taking any risks. 6 Months later with a proper diet , addition of vitamin d/c and arnica plus i stopped smoking enforced with all the advice given from Kim and Dr Luniewska I finally had my dream op on the Summer Group Trip! All the medical team are lovely. Dr Luniewska is very professional. She takes no risks and does not give false expectations. The nurses were good and knew there job well as well as the co ordinators based in the clinic. The clinic is spotless! Kim the international patients manager was super professional/caring and their when you need anything! Even brought us a latte once we were allowed to drink. If your thinking about surgery abroad there’s only one place and that's KCM Clinic especially group trips if your nervous or have no one to travel with. I highly recommend and I also encourage everyone to take the pre op instructions carefully and prepare. I'm now one week post op and im healing perfectly and already starting to see the results. Cataract surgery is one of the most commonly performed surgical procedures, compared with any other surgical treatments. Normally, the lens of your eye is clear. A cataract causes the lens to become cloudy, which eventually affects your vision. Cataract surgery is a procedure to remove the lens of your eye and, and replace it with an artificial lens. Cataract surgery consists in removing the opaque own lens and implanting an artificial lens in its place. The procedure is performed using the micro-cutting phacoemulsification method (the latest generation Stellaris apparatus from the American company Bausch & Lomb). Usually, the patient will be awake during cataract surgery. You might notice lights or motion, but you won’t be able to see what your doctor is doing. When you undergo this surgery, your doctor will put numbing drops into your eye to keep you from feeling anything, use tiny tools to cut into your eye, break up the lens, and take it out, place the new artificial lens in your eye. At KCM Clinic we use the best-class non-abrasive, aspherical, and multifocal lenses. Cataract surgery is performed by an eye doctor (ophthalmologist) on an outpatient basis, so the patient does not have to stay in the hospital after the surgery. The procedure takes about an hour or less to perform. Cataract surgery is very common and is generally a safe procedure, carrying low risk. It is also one of the safest surgical procedures.
