After waiting months for a health service appointment for cataract surgery I decided to pay privately. I was impressed with the background information about providing a personal service. This is exactly what I got. The doctor was very thorough and professional. She gave me a detailed description of the condition of my eyes and what could be done. I knew I had macular degeneration and she explained that my right eyesight could be vastly improved. I had the surgery 10 days after my first appointment and am delighted to see properly again! She also suggested I wait for the health service for my left eye as she felt it unnecessary to pay when there would not be a great deal of improvement. Very honest!! The doctor and assistant were attentive and reassuring throughout. I would most definitely recommend this clinic.

I had an initial consultation - at no charge! I was very impressed with the approach of the consultant. At no time did I feel under pressure to go for surgery straight away, as was the case with another clinic I had visited. First detailed consultation to determine the best way forward and to discuss what options are open to me in a couple of weeks time. An excellent start!

I had been thinking of having treatment for fuzzy eyesight. Having tried wearing glasses for the past 18 months, I decided to visit Clínica Oftalmológica for a consultation. I live in Southern France and the wait for a consultation and treatment can take over a yearning in France. There principal Dr. Castillan Father had started the clinic. Therefore there was a history of their treatment. I was met by Dr. Casttilla at the Clinic with my wife. Dr. Castilla explained in detail the treatment, type of lens available etc. Followed by extensive examination by himself, plus other medical staff. This took 2 hours followed by a further interview with Dr.Castilla. He explained the procedure and type of lens. There was no pressure. In fact, he said I should maybe go away and think about the treatment before deciding. So no pressure. Having had the replacement lens. It has opened up a new world, which is clearer. Driving at night is really brilliant. Overall I rate the Clinic as excellent.

My husband and I obtained details of VistaLaser from Google and read the various reviews online. We made an appointment and were very impressed with the professionalism of all the staff. After a thorough examination, we were quoted a price for the removal of a cataract and were told a new lens might be needed. The hospital had previously advised that there was another cataract in the other eye, however, the specialist said there was no need for its removal at this time and suggested an annual review. The operation was totally successful and Joyce will probably only need reading lenses for this eye. A final review will take place in February. The whole experience was carried out in a friendly manner by all the staff.

I had been having major problems with my eyesight. Dr Gloria spotted the problem straight away, cataracts. I immediately felt at ease with meeting her and can now confirm my eyesight is better than I ever thought possible. Thank you, Dr Gloria.

Dr Carretero and her team performed Cataract surgery on each of my eyes in July 2020. I cannot thank them enough for the professional and caring all through the treatments - everything went well from start to finish. Thank you, Dr Carretero and all of your team. Great to have proper vision again.
