I had lens replacement surgery with Associate Professor of ophthalmology Dr Derda Oder at BHT clinic in Istanbul. From the initial contact with him to the end he was very down to earth, transparent, friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate. I had researched and contacted many surgeons. He suggested lenses that would be suitable for each eye and on examining me when I got there, decided one eye needed a different lens which was £150 less. He immediately informed me. He is an excellent surgeon and Hasan, his lovely, capable interpreter was there for me at all times. All the staff are very professional and attentive. The surgery went well and the aftercare was very good. On my last visit, Dr Derda said to contact them at any time if I have any questions or concerns, gave me lifetime lens passports and told me any time I was in Turkey I was to come and have a free assessment. Dr Derda is also very well priced and I’m absolutely thrilled to throw away glasses that I’ve been wearing for many decades. I highly recommend Dr Derda and his team. You can see his work on his Instagram page, including various eye surgeries. He has been involved in many studies in the past and ongoing.

In December 2024, I had a lens replacement performed at the Refractive Center in Prague. For several months, I had been researching both in Norway and other countries to find the best eye surgeons. I chose Dr. Petr Novak in Prague. I had regular email correspondence with the clinic( a lovely woman named Babora), who answered all my questions. We agreed on a date when I (and my husband, who also underwent lens replacement ) would come for an examination. I went through eye and health examination. The procedure was performed on Wednesday for one eye and Friday for the other eye. During both the pre-examinations and the surgeries, I felt very well taken care of. Now, two months later, I am a happy woman who can see and read even the smallest text without glasses. Absolutely fantastic! A huge thanks to Dr. Petr Novak and his team!

I contacted Dr Emir to get rid of my glasses. He said that a Multifocal lens would be more suitable for me. I came to Turkey and had this surgery. The driver who met me at the airport, the nurse at the hospital, the doctor were very kind. It has been 3 months since the operation and I am very satisfied. I enjoy reading without glasses.

The Doctor and his team were extremely organized, and very detailed and ensured I had a successful surgery. I was able to catch my flight the next day out of Istanbul without any medical issues. I was booked for a free eye check during my next visit to Istanbul to confirm that my eyes were in perfect condition. I just had an eye replacement surgery 2 days ago and I can already see the improvement. It is important to follow the post care (eye drops) as they say. Burak made this journey so much easier, I was freaking out because didn't know what to expect. He made me feel so calm and so helpful, answering all the questions without any hesitation. The surgery, done by Dr Eren, was so painless and so quick. Fantastic. Now I have to wait for a full recovery to be 100%. Thank you all the team from Orbit, from the reception till the surgeon, and specially to Burak, very professional.

The whole experience has been top class. I chose Praga Medica as they were competitive in pricing and because the reviews online were positive. Daniela was most helpful in communications lead up to the actual treatment sessions, clear and concise. I found all the staff at NeoVize polite and professional. A translator was provided however this was not really needed. The clinic is very easy to find, a two minute walk from the metro station in Prague. The actual surgery (I had monofocal lens replacement) was less than ten minutes for each eye (performed on separate days) and was painless. I have to say that I am astounded by the results and can see brilliantly for the first time in my life. I cannot recommend Praga Medica highly enough. The surgery has been life changing!
