The Cottage Surgery practice was established in Bailieborough by Dr Paddy Halligan following the retirement of Dr Philip Carroll in 1986. We initially opened in Thomas Street, moved to Barrack Street in the early 90s, and currently work out of New Road, opposite the rear entrance to Supervalu. We also have a branch surgery in Mullagh on the Cavan-Meath border.  We are a traditional family practice and provide a broad range of services to all our patients. In 2007, we became a training practice, and we are currently hosting a trainee from the North East Regional Training Scheme. We are also affiliated with UCD as one of its core training practices for undergraduate medical students. We pride ourselves as being a friendly and caring practice open to all patients irrespective of religion, colour, race or social class.

General Practice services

Beechwood Medical Clinic is conveniently located just minutes from Ranelagh village, and around the corner from the Beechwood Luas stop. All consultations are by appointment only. Dr. Rita Brennan has been working as a single handed GP at Beechwood Clinic since 1992, and she looks after all age groups. Her special interests are Women's Health, Paediatrics, and Dermatology.
