Dr. "Toto" and assistant "mel" were incredible. I had stained front teeth mostly in cracks between teeth which had bothered me as they showed if I smiled big....but they removed all and did great thorough and gentle cleaning......very reasonable cost, and super high value / service / results. Dr. also helped by inserting two fillings, which I had never known this technique before....there were gaps and concave opening on two teeth near gum line, which would catch food, and be hard to clean....but he "filled" them with "former" (think some kind of sealant that hardens), and did it in the same appt, so I didn't need to come back... Those cost more, but still very reasonable compared to the cost in USA (Where I'm from). Friendly, clean, and comfortable office, located just a couple minutes walk from Sumulong ave (bonifacio extension), and just a genuine joy to have been a patient there. Can't say enough positive things, will DEFINITELY be going back and also referring friends, etc....thank you Dr. Toto and Mel, God bless.

The American Dental Association published an article dated August 25,2009 on its Online ADA News the usefulness of amalgam filling.  Indeed, amalgam as a traditional metal filling is still the strongest and the most durable of all dental fillings ever used by the dentists since the beginning of early Dentistry. An excerpt stated,"  Dental amalgam is considered a safe, affordable and durable material that has been used to restore the teeth of more than 100 million Americans. It contains a mixture of metals such as silver, copper and tin, in addition to mercury, which binds these components into a hard, stable and safe substance. Dental amalgam has been studied and reviewed extensively, and has established a record of safety and effectiveness. The FDI World Dental Federation and the World Health Organization concluded in a 1997 consensus statement...  "No controlled studies have been published demonstrating systemic adverse effects from amalgam restorations." Another conclusion of the report stated that, aside from rare instances of local side effects of allergic reactions, "the small amount of mercury released from amalgam restorations, especially during placement and removal, has not been shown to cause any adverse health effects."
