So there is never too much irritation of the gum in one place. The entire treatment - inclusive root canal - was almost painless. The only somewhat painful thing were the injections themselves. During treatment the patient is only moderately reclined - about 45° I'd say. In contrast English dentists have the awful habit of laying the patient flat. Then they are very surprised when the stomach content sloshes about and the patient has a strong gag reflex. Dr Day-Stirrat has an excellent understanding of the chewing motion of the jaws.
