How is Breast Implant Surgery done?

Breast Implant Surgery is performed either by a fat transfer procedure to increase the volume of breasts or by making incisions and inserting silicone gel or saline filled implants to increase the size of breasts. Depending on the patient's requirements they can be inserted above or underneath the muscle tissue of the breast and be inserted through incisions made underneath the breast or under the armpit.  The surgeon should explain the benefits of each type of procedure.

Breast augmentation is a cosmetic surgery, which the size and shape of the breasts can be changed. The surgery is mostly performed by women , who had always been small breasts or women who have been through pregnancy or weight loss  that has led to less firm or smaller breasts Breasts are made of fatty tissue, glandular tissue, blood vessels, nerves, milk ducts, and lymph nodes, all covered with skin .  The shape of the breast is determined mainly by the elasticity of the skin , and the relationship between adipose tissue and tissue. Young breasts consist primarily of glandular tissue and are firm .  Over the years, the glandular tissue is gradually replaced by fat tissue , which is soft . By gravity and the reduction of skin elasticity breast may hang as age progresses . Pregnancy and weight loss also have an impact on the shape of the breasts.  Breasts contain no muscles , so exercises to enlarge breasts have no effect .

Women with large, heavy breasts, often experience back pain. This is definitely a reason to consider breast reduction. The plastic surgeon will be fitting in consultation with the patient a cup size in proportion to the body . By performing a breast reduction often a lifting effect is obtained on the breasts so the woman not only get beautiful and smaller breasts but also will experience noteworthy firmer breasts.

I have been to Robin Van Look on two separate occasions. Firstly in October 2022 for breast implants and again just under two weeks ago for an uplift and larger implants. The clinic is very clean and tidy and the staff are very professional and friendly. I did not experience any pain following the procedure and the incisions are very neat which is a big bonus. Robin Van look is very kind and makes you feel at ease, I have recommended this surgeon to my friends and will continue to do so.
