We don't do Endovenous Laser Therapy But we do successfully treat Thread Veins on the face and legs with NdYag Laser. We charge for this by the time it takes;£30    Consultation & Patch Test £9.50 per minute with a 25% discount off 16 minutes of treatment and over and 40% discount off over 30 minutes of treatment Depending on the density of the veins more than one treatment may be needed.  The tiny Laser beam passed through the surface skin creating no damage and reacts with the colour in the vein creating heat and thereby damaging the vein walls on the face they can look a little darker for a week or so before they just fade away! Leg Thread Veins can take much longer to be dispersed by the body after treatment, up to 3 months and can always be faded but not always eliminated due to them being fed from much larger veins beneath them usually. At consultation we will advise you of how well we think your individual problem could respond to treatment and estimate the cost of treatment. We tend to use the NdYag Laser for small or sparse areas of dark hair especially facial hair as because we use a 3mm spot size for effectiveness and client comfort hairs are treated individually and we can easily treat just under the nose and very close to the lipline which cannot be done with IPL also Laser has more power available than IPL because it is applied in such a small spot size and we can instantly see whether the hair is dark enough for effective treatment because the hair on the surface vaporises when treated if it doesn't then we know that hair needs to be treated with electrolysis to be eliminated. We find that to be effective we must initially see clients on a monthly basis in order to catch as many hairs at their 'live' stage after several treatments we may be able to extend the time in between treatments. the length of time a client will need treatment for varies massively, it depends on many factors such as age, hormonal imbalances, medication and genetic factors these will all be discussed at consultation and the client will be informed accordingly. Endovenous laser ablation, or EVLA, is the most common non-surgical treatment method for varicose veins. Using ultrasound guidance a needle is placed in the vein which needs destroying, a laser fibre is fed up the vein and the vein literally cooked so that it shrinks down and stops carrying blood. The lasering is painless but you will get some discomfort from the local anaethetic injections. Over 90% of patients are happy with the results. Recurrence of varicosities after treatment, in our experience, is less than 2%.

EVLA (laser treatment): One leg £1695   Two legs £1995 The first step is to come along for a consultation to see one of our vascular specialists. This will include a colour duplex ultrasound scan to determine the underlying cause of your varicose veins i.e. whether you have any faulty valves. The doctor will then discuss the treatment options with you. If EVLA (laser treatment) is required this will be performed as a walk in- walk-out procedure without the need for a general anaesthetic.The procedure takes approximately 20 minutes per leg. A small injection of local anaesthetic will be given to numb the leg, a laser fibre is then inserted into the vein using ultrasound guidance, and this is then slowly pulled out destroying the vein in the process. A compression stocking will need to be worn for a week following treatment. The majority of patients state that this is the only uncomfortable part of the whole procedure. 6 weeks after treatment you will return for follow up where a repeat scan will be undertaken to ensure that the underlying cause of your veins has been solved. At this follow up you may need some foam sclerotherapy injections to remove any outlying veins on the service of the skin. Although any symptoms (aching, itching, throbbing) will be relieved almost immediately after treatment, you don’t tend to see the full cosmetic results for about 2-3 months.

Foam Sclerotherapy is used to treat spider and varicose veins (if no underlying faulty valves). In this treatment the medication is mixed with air to form a suspension of micro-bubbles. The resulting foam is injected into the vein either directly or under ultrasound guidance. Because foam has a greater surface area than liquid, it is able to stick to the vein walls more effectively and cause faster "shrinkage" of the damaged veins. In clinical trials it has been found that foam-sclerotherapy treatment can be as effective as surgery
